For a young lad it's a very mature statement, and one that shows a respect for the club, staff and fans. Pity some of our former players couldn't show a similar degree of respect and gratitude.

Very true Graeme. There are at least a couple of players who left us at the end of last season who I would have expected more from. One in particular who had a lot of people dipping into their pockets while he was going through a difficult time.

Yes but they didn't leave in big money deals , they were dumped.

The player that everybody is referring to had a different situation though, even Eric hinted at it in the Spoony Chop last week.

We all know the name, but out of respect, none of us are quoting it.

Of course it's not a requirement, but a simple, quick thank you would have been enough.

It's easy to do in these days of social media.

It's like if you'd bought somebody dinner, then they left without saying anything. You're not expecting gratitude, but it'd be nice to get some. It's basic manners.

Anyway, good post from Makenzie. I hope he goes on to big things.

Yeah it would've taken Carey literally minutes to write up a bog standard messaging thanking fans, particularly for the support during his wife's illness.

He'll have had a lot on his mind over the Summer while waiting to find a new club and the stress of maybe being club-less for too long, but its disappointing he seems to have said absolutely nothing about it since joining Livingston.

Folk like Nicky Clark im totally fine with just never hearing from and having their time here expunged from memory.

They are a protected species. I think we will have trouble moving them.

3 cop cars sirens blaring just went up the Crieff Rd . Wonder if there is a connection.

Poor groundsman will have a problem clearing up the excitement.

Yes. The groundsman will be excited.

Wasn't sure where to put this but...

Valakari in the courier saying, with the caveat of there being no setbacks, that...

- Gullan "touch and go" for Raith, but will be definitely back in the squad for the Dunfermline game

- Lloyd is back running. Return date unknown yet but sounds like end of this month/start of October is the plan

- Mikulic visits the surgeon who done his operation at the start of next month. If he gets the all clear from him then he can start training fully and playing again

Was at a Salzburg v Gratz game a couple of weeks ago……..not a great standard

What do you think theyd think of Morton v Queens Park?

Its a similar level we signed Sprangler from.

Janbik confirmed. Season long loan

Don't get this one. Signed on a 3 year contract. In 3 months he has played 75 mins in 2  games against 2 weak teams in L cup and Livi are loaning him out.

Is there any chance he is better than Steven.

Livingston do this a lot. Joel Nouble another they loaned out to the Championship.

They seem to take punts, let Championship sides develop them/take the risk of playing them, then reap the rewards of they perform/improve.

Nine goals and 13 assists in last season's Austrian second tier, leading to him being given a three-year contract by a club in the division above us, would suggest to me there's a very good chance of him being better than Taylor Steven.

Scott Fraser on trial.

Away up to Ross County now according to the courier.

BBC: "Scott Fraser, who left Dundee this summer, is now on trial with Ross County after the 30-year-old midfielder's training spell with Championship rivals St Johnstone came to an end."
