Fans Forum Event

Unfortunately we aren’t in a position to stream the event. We are still looking into options and the viability of it.

Again we do appreciate the short notice, but this is so the club can discuss plans for going forward with the wider community.

Why not record it and play it later on saints TV?

How long does it actually take to "look into" things? This facility has basically been requested since these events were first publicised🤷‍♀️

Especially if it is 1. At short notice and 2. If it concerns "the wider community" (online being a very big part of that community).

Without wishing to go kicking and screaming about this, how difficult is this to actually do? Christ, you can see debates in Parliament, inside Courts, and even from war zones - it's beginning to sound like a secret society - WHY? 🤷‍♀️ The more you push back, decline to do it, and make excuses, the bigger an issue it will become.

It's better if, in times such as these, we're all pulling together in the same direction, so INCLUDE THE ONLINE AND EXPAT COMMUNITY.

IF we go down, Saints will be looking for every penny, so it doesn't make sense to exclude specific groups.

As Saints (and most other football clubs) are happy to remind us, only a small portion of their income/profit comes from ticket sales - so why exclude the online/expat communities? They will purchase shirts, scarves etc - the very same stuff that the (small profit) ticket buyers purchase.

Plus, you just run the risk, when next season Saints want to promote X or Y or are selling Z, of the aforementioned EXCLUDED community just telling them to GTF as we weren't important enough to be included when we asked.

I know this has been done to death, but it's a Brownesque ignoring of what's going on in the world and another "we'll do what we want to do, even though we're hearing dissenting voices but we can ignore them"

We are a small enough support, why exclude and risk alienating a part of that small support?

Anyone with a phone and internet connection can stream to YouTube. You can then pull the content at the end of the event, so it's a one time live stream

Those organising these things are actually holding the club back –  dragging their heels and not prepared to change.

I get the annoyance, lads but you're honestly not missing much. Really.

That may very well be the case 👍, but people will never know that unless they can actually see it and make up their own minds about it. Give us the choice/chance to decide for ourselves🤷‍♀️

To be fair anyone can see it. It’s open to all and detailed minutes are shared. I agree it should be streamed but there is actually something more relaxed about a meeting just being in the room. Once something is filmed everyone becomes more guarded.
Also the guest speakers may have said no to protect what they say?
As previously noted you are not missing much.

A couple of posters have said people "aren't missing much" but I'd disagree. Personally I felt quite a lot of interesting info came out of the two meetings I attended, and there was a lot of detail and nuance that you'll never be able to get from reading the minutes.

The fans forum volunteers must absolutely hate that this streaming question comes up every single time they announce a meeting, and I feel for them a bit on that because we all know fans are never happy and will always have a moan about something. But if it's something a large number of fans are asking for then I'd have thought they have some sort of responsibility to either give it a go for one meeting and see if it works, or provide a proper explanation for why it can't be done. By doing neither it's leaving them open to these accusations of secrecy/lack of transparency, and that's only ever going to be a negative.

I think one of the questions tae be put at the forum is why our support was split in two, nae need fir it.anyone going will they please ask the question

Was it no split in 3 with a decent crowd in the expensive seats.

You have to wonder what's going on there , is it the dark arts at work.

Given the way it went, I’m glad we were split in two, health issue means I can’t stand for 90 mins and I’d really have to wish to be right in middle of a pyro display.

The way it was split meant those that wanted to stand could and those that didn’t paid a little bit more and had a better view.

Is it not done to give the fans two options of price bracket/view? Some will want cheaper seats in the corner or behind the goal, others will be willing to pay more for seats closer to the middle.
