I hope this is a balls-to-the-wall performance today. I want to see heart and soul from every last one of them

Today’s team talk has been half written by Cowies midweek conversations.

Simo needs to look at every player in the eye before the game. If they don’t fancy it then send them packing. Start the players who want to be here.

I'm the complete opposite, and I've no idea why. Woke up buzzing.

Same! Which is not a good thing usually to be honest.

Hoping we don’t start Douglas or Carey but not sure what state the available 11 is in.

I am a Franczak fan but not sure what all the clamouring for Franczak and Steven to start is all about. Think they will be fine squad players in the Championship but are miles off coming into the starting 11 in a Premiership relegation battle standard.

Worst Saints starting 11 since?

You'll be devastated to know that I agree with you on this!

Fran and Steven , two guys who have come through the ranks and are here next season. If those two aren't up for it then non of them will.

Hopefully Simo has assessed who is up for the fight.

Valakari confirms Mitchell is fit and been training, but Charlton are refusing to let him play for us again this season.

Why would he be training with us is he is not allowed to play. Surely Charlton would want him back for proper rehabilitation.

I’m not sure anyone is clamouring for them to start, it’s just working out the best from our rubbish squad. If Franczak and Steven bring some energy, drive and fight it would be more than we have seen from most over the last few games.

It’s easy to say you don’t want Carey starting but who else has produced goals and assists from midfield in this squad? In an ideal world he isn’t starting but we have to make the best of what we have.

Shame we can't pluck a 17 year old from the U18 squad, like Falkirk did last night with Jamie Rae. 90 minutes full of running, never having been anywhere near the first team.

We can but dream!

Partick was it not ?.

Myth.

Carey loses us more goals / matches than he scores / creates wins.

For every corner or free kick that creates a goal, he loses his man or gives the ball away in dangerous positions 10x as often.

For every 40 yard screamer he scores he doesn’t track his runner or blazes a corner or free kick straight out of the park 10x as often.

Yeah, I'm with others who are up for this. It's like a cup final.

We can't let our 17 year stay go without a fight. Yes, we know they're not our best squad ever, but as long as they go out and give it everything, that's all we can ask.

I hope the supporters keep positive, even if something goes wrong. Don't shout at the players, support them.

4-4-2 for me.

                 Fisher

Curtis Balodis Sprangler Douglas

Duke Holt Griffith McPake

           Kirk Ikpeazu

Carey on for last 20 minutes if we need him, Steven can arrive then as well with a bit of pace up front.

Keep it simple. County are on a bad run of form.

Apparently, according to their fans, they're susceptible to balls into the box. So get Duke and McPake punting that ball in to Uche who can knock it down for Kirk, or grab a chance himself.

I'd also be using the old Sir Alex and Jim McLean method of using opposition manager's quotes as motivation.

They used to paste them up on the dressing room wall.

Cowie going on about "It's up to us to take charge" and "they're where they are for a reason". I'd be making sure they know about that and riling them up by saying, "That's what they think about you".

We don't only have to outplay them, we need to out fight them.

In aboot them.

C.O.Y.S.
