Not think he should have blocked the cross for their actual goal aswell. F***ing throw your body in front of that. Arab ba****d!

Poor pass to Holt as well who got caught in possession which led to their equaliser.

My thoughts exactly. You look at Booth's efforts to help win us a cup....that's what it takes to compete in these sort of games not just a flap of a leg. Sven's not a defender, takes ages to coach defenders about positioning and body shape, he's not going to learn in a few weeks.

We're creating chances thiugh so some hope still there but I just feel we're getting nothing at Tynecaetle and will draw against Dundee. All the bottom 3 should go down to be fair.

On a side note someone needs to have a word in Kirk's ear and remind him it's a team game...get yer head up and square the ball.

Wednesday will be interesting. We can't afford to lose by 3 or 4 and that is why all those misses today could be crucial.

How we never got any points from United , Motherwell or Killie is criminal as none of them are any better than Saints on their day. Unfortunately there were 3 bad days. That is why we are going down.

Also I assume we are looking for Dundee to beat County on Wednesday.

As much as I’d love to slate Douglas for that, the pass was from Sprangler to Holt.

Yup, Holt’s fault initially, but defenders are there to defend.

Holt is being asked to do a very difficult in there. Take the ball constantly under pressure. Play passes that beat the press. Take balls on the half turn. Difficult things to do for teams at the top of the league who are flying never mind a team who are struggling.

Douglas should have thrown his whole body in front of that cross to stop an easy tap in. He didn’t! And won’t next week and won’t next season - he’s done!

Aye, and it's likely you'll be requiring somebody from midfield or defence to stick the ball in the net on Wednesday.

Balodis's head turning out to be a major factor in the fight for survival.

McPake and I thought Curtis also stepped up this week and were creating opportunities and we deserved the win. Watt was more like the first game he played when he looked decent, still a few errors, but maybe today brings confidence.

Uche is a real handful and I loved his passion when subbed off and he held Kirk for a bit giving him some strong words of encouragement!

Didn't miss Carey.

Overall, seemed some more passion, probably too late to save us, but still in it at least.

A result that we needed. Whilst I believe it is only delaying our fate, atleast the boys showed a bit of fight and put some pressure on County.

Overall we deserved the win. In the second half we took control of the game and really should of got a couple more goals.

I thought Uche made a huge difference to the team yesterday. Sure, his finishing wasn't the best, but his ability to keep possesion of the ball and try to bring others into the game was helpful. He is an absolute unit.

With his injury and track record at the club, I just wrote the lad off as someone here to pick up an easy pay cheque. He has shown to me in his efforts that he really wants to repay the club. He is clearly not 100% fit, but still put in a real shift and several times he acted in a leader role for the team, trying to encourage others around him. He cares.

Holt put a shift in and Watt looked decent against a lower level of opposition.

Never in a million years, did I think that I would want to see McPake in the starting XI for Saints, let alone in the last two games to save us from the drop, but the lad has come in and he is really trying to make things happen. Credit to him, his attitude seems spot on.

The defence really scares me. It's a patched up unit of players that I don't rate or that are playing out of position. I can't see how we keep a clean sheet at Hearts and worry how they will handle Simon Murray at home. But we are left with what we have and will have to hope that it is enough to get us through.

Realistically I think we will need 4 points to have a chance of 11th. Let's see what this team is capable of.

On we go, ticket bought for Hertz, cruising then we do the usual and play ourselves into trouble, if we hadn't conceded that reckon would have won by two or three but that's the level we are at, how people tout sprangler as poty is beyond me, yep versatile but such a limited player, positives at least they all fought today, big uche led the line and was talking to the players encouraging them, Watt and mcpake decent, and Steven started to come into it too. Went a bit more direct second half and looked better, County are really poor, how we are behind this lot is incredible. Maybe big Creg Levein did have an eye for a player just didn't fit them all together, but big uche in the championship if we do go down will be something else! Escape still on....

Maybe because Sven carried the team fur most o the season, always playing oot o posistion, you must be related tae Levein.

Well - it was a lengthy round trip for me and my lad…leaving home at 7am and getting home at midnight…but well worth it.  Won’t go into the game…it was rather what we expected…except the win for which we had simply hoped, and nerve shredding which we hadn’t.

But most importantly for us, and what we really took away from the day, was the spirit, family and community feeling of the support…from very young and enthusiastic proudly wearing their shirts and kit, to the older, more cynical, world weary - and the young lads banging the drum chanting and leading the support in so many ways, but all - one and all - so willing our team on.

And I loved overhearing at the end of the game, a wee lad of maybe 4 or 5 in full kit, hand in hand with his dad, and despite the limitations of what we had seen, say to his dad ‘that was a great game dad..wasn’t it’  And his dad of course say ‘yes it was…’  🥰

We would be at Tynecastle on Wednesday if we could - and won’t be able to make the Dundee game..but come what may…we’ll be back, and more often, next season.

Yes…it was a ‘great’ game.

COYS!

Agree with all of this.

Thought Taylor Steven continued to do a solid job for the team in an unfamiliar position too.

Both teams were really poor, but at least we showed some purpose.

Watt did well, and so did Ikpeazu and McPake. You could see it was disjointed, but there was some fight. Ross will lose their last 2 games, but I can't see us getting anything from Hearts. May come all down to the last game.

Aye he's played out of position and comes across as a nice lad and team player, but your definition of carried and mine are a wee bit different! Aye he's ma great auntie Averil! He was useless but still kept us up and should have went then, but two of the best players on the park yesterday were his signings uche and mcpake.......

Three points was the only thing that mattered whether it was playing sexy footy or ugly footy we just had to get the points, we did that so now more of the same against the jam tarts, next bridge to climb.

Never say never, I think Dundee will give the game against RC a red hot go knowing any result will keep them safe.

As unpalatable as it is to want Scumdee to beat anyone - needs must!
