Absolute lunacy that some folk are saying a draw is the best result as it keeps both of them within touching distance. No chance! County are in free fall - that’s 7 they have LOST on the bounce. Not 7 without a win, 7 losses! If we win get 4 points from the next 2 games, I think we leapfrog them and will beat Livi in the play offs! COYS!!! FotMob has it at 4(24%), 6(27%), 9(24%) and 3(25%) accurate crosses against Ross County, Kilmarnock, Motherwell and the second half of the Dundee United game, respectively. 3(30%), 0, 3(27%) and 6(35%) against Celtic, Hibs, Aberdeen and Dundee respectively. RandomGuy Posted May 11, 2025 Author Report Posted May 11, 2025 McPake has been given an assist for the Watt goal yesterday too, which points him on 3 assists. Nobody has more in the league this season for us and only Carey matches his tally. Quote

Even if you don't get a cross in because you are not happy on your left at least the defender doesn't know if you are going back on your right. Yesterday, what a difference, he went past his man on the outside and put crosses in with his left quite a lot. Apparently Simo was concerned that he was a one trick pony and has been working with him. If he can improve McPake that much then we may have a good coach after all. It may just be that the County right back was crap compared to the Killie right back. Quote

Not sure I have ever seen a transformation so stark from a Saints signing ever! I’d have had him released in January as he was a burden on the wage bill… and now I can’t quite see how we would ever score against Hearts on Wednesday without him. Unbelievable! I might be getting carried away but yesterday a couple of his runs reminded me a bit of prime(2014) Michael O’Halloran. Edited May 11, 2025 by R.B.B:- Adz Quote

dunblanemike Posted May 12, 2025 Report Posted May 12, 2025 We have taken 10 points in our 4 games against Ross County, nearly a third of our total. Put another way, 22 points from 32 games against the rest. Cripes, where would we be without RC!! Quote

I remember thinking at the time that these lost 2 points could have a big effect on our season. garydavidson, Cagey and rik2304 3 Quote

If we do go down this season there are so many games where tiny little things have been punished and made such a difference. Cagey and sane_tee 2 Quote

Even not getting points against United , Motherwell and Killie is the reason we will probably go down. How could you go into those games with lack of effort. Also if we go down on goal difference we can point to lack of killer touch when we were in control of games. Quote

Saintdunc Posted May 12, 2025 Report Posted May 12, 2025 We all know that if we hadn't been run like a poor pub side, with the Landlord as a Manager, and a shambles in the Boardroom, we might have been OK. The time for big change was following the Kelty result but again, as everyone knows, this was allowed to continue for way too long, until Webb finally took over. We need to make a hell of a noise on Wednesday night and hope the gods are on our side. A massive rallying to arms call in the away dressing room is required. Will it be enough. Give it a real go lads! COYS sane_tee 1 Quote
