crieffsaintandy
I don't think it's the fact it's a tenner, and tbf never paid ever before for a home friendly. it's again the way it's been or not been communicated, it and the same price as championship clubs quote for season tickets when it turns out they are the dearest for championship, just seem a wee bit liberal with the truth these days, not a great look and people are picking up on it! Would normally travel to them but not worth the petrol and entrance fee for a stroll in the park training session.

Strawman
Don’t think in 30 plus years as a season ticket holder I’ve ever been asked to pay to get into a pre season friendly. I get it’s only a tenner but it feels wrong. Forfar Ath friendly is free to their season tickets. This is a board that have happily handed out free tickets to guys they bump into in the pub yet seem to want to milk more and more from the people who actually pay season after season. crieffsaintandy and Cagey
Stumpy1949
I can’t remember the last time we had a home friendly only away ones. It cost me petrol money and entrance fee so I’m quite happy with £10/£5. MySpazz

Cagey
1 minute ago, crieffsaintandy said: Course it doesn't, but it was just included before without season ticket holders paying for it, part of the overall ticket package just they forgot to mention it this time! And the way they were handing out freebies last year it was pointless getting a season ticket if you can pick up a ticket for free every second week, if you live in Perth, All us out of town season ticket holders and Perth punters will continue to buy them showing our continued support for the club, but it's more loyalty and backing the team than trusting the current CEO and board to be open and honest! Any idea what pub to go to to get the tickets. King James would be favourite I would say.

All of these were free to season ticket holders.

That Bar Toilet Attendant
Club charge ST holders a tenner maybe 400 buy tickets during summer holidays. Free on ST probably a thousand turn up for the imaginary pr “buzz” club keep going on about. They spend money in shop and feel engaged with club. Season Ticket is same price as last year and most expensive in Championship. No friendlies included, prize draw stopped and you only get LC cups by a certain date. Not worth buying one in my opinion. Club is a shambles. Fans being lied to, players slagging club off, multiple jobs being advertised, season ticket credit being refused, directors resigning. Absolute mess. But we have a new scoreboard, new walkout music, a documentary and owner handing out free tickets to anyone he meets. Fans and staff of club getting treated with utter contempt. GMac
Don't know what the drama is, if you don't want to pay don't go...end of. The current regime were left a complete midden, just trying to recoup some money, to stabilise things. But if you do have a ST (like me) go to the games you can and get behind the team. If you're someone who's going to attend every (or most) home games, it's very much worth buying one as you're going to save yourself a significant amount of money. If that's not you, then yeah, there's less point to it. I never really get why, at this point of the summer, the club doesn't shout about just how big a saving the season ticket actually gives you. They should be telling us the walk-in price and showing us that we get the equivalent of 7 or 8 games (or however many it is) for free by buying one. As for charging £10 to get into a friendly, I really don't see the big deal. The club isn't a charity. It has costs to cover and is facing big losses from relegation. I'm just pleased we're actually getting a couple of home friendlies this year as it feels like that's something we've been getting fewer and fewer of over the years (probably because of their rising costs, which brings us back to why they probably see it as being no longer viable to let season ticket holders into them for free). This is exactly that. It’s actually saving me money paying £10/£5 to see a home game and giving the money to saints than travelling away from home and giving my £10 to another club. MySpazz
Season ticket holders are not a higher standard of fan - there is a saving on the match day ticket and few LC freebies. Isn't that enough? Put that money in the bank and try to earn the interest equivalent to the savings on matchday tickets... Let me know how you get on! Anyone out there want to share a season ticket FOUR ways! mike_gain

No one’s arguing that, maybe start telling us what is included in the season ticket instead of all the half stories, not saying season tickets are a higher standard of fan, but they are putting their cash up front and no other business would sell a product like football does, especially saints recently without giving the full details of what we are purchasing, bought mine for last 40 years and that’s what we do as supporters, but don’t take the piss out of blind loyalty, club needs funds and all that, what is the mystical money in the bank for the last 20 years, was it Steve brown, Preston and the boys golfing fund? Maybe need to start spending a bit of it in the football side to get back up to where the big money is in the top league. Fran is just a mouth piece and not a very good one, Webb and his pals talk a lot but nothing happens, apart from relegation and a new score board. The signings so far are average, especially after so many leaving, so must be a bit of budget spare, so him and his cronies are hardly backing us so far, just americanised bullshit in all the patronising videos, yep early days in transfer window but not been great so far, maybe we will get a few decent players in who knows, but at the moment it just feels like let’s all just keep funding the good ship Adam!!
