saintgscot Posted August 25 Report Posted August 25 Sorry I know not current. But was anyone on bus or plane and remember the name of the pub that all the saints fans met in in Nice. Going there in October and looking to revisit the bar. Quote
templeofsaints Posted August 25 Report Posted August 25 OK - just checked the offline copy of the ToS site. There were 2 we ended up in - Waynes Bar (https://www.waynesbar-restaurant.com/) which doesnt look to have changed much and Scarlett O'Haras (22 Rue Droite from my notes). Quote

All I can remember is singing 'Waltzing McQuillan'. Quote

bankfoot saint Posted August 26 Report Posted August 26 Can remember going into Nice and walking round, hearing stand up if you hate Dundee in a bar and thinking thats the place for us Quote
saintgscot Posted August 26 Author Report Posted August 26 I remember it was just one woman on the bar herself then the bagpipes come down the road and she her to get on the phone to get more staff. Someone said it was where stan collymore assaulted Ukrika as well. Quote
sjfc99 Posted August 26 Report Posted August 26 There was a bar in the old town where a few Saints fans were, including Ian McPhee on a "scouting mission" for Forfar. A looky looky man plying his trade got a chorus of "oh Miguel" every time he walked by clutching his blue and white stripe plastic bags. When a couple walked past, the man in a dark navy polo, they looked a bit confused when a "we hate Dundee" chant broke out. Quote
saintgscot Posted August 26 Author Report Posted August 26 I remember the lookey lookey guy outside hotel in Cannes. Also the Irish bar in Cannes. But only one bar in Nice. Quote
saintgscot Posted August 26 Author Report Posted August 26 Does Paparazzi ring a bell with anyone. Quote
sane_tee Posted August 26 Report Posted August 26 I often think about the Saints fan who swapped a jumbo Saints scarf for what could only be described as a school tie-sized Monaco red and white striped "scarf" on the walk back to Casino Square after the game. The Saints fan was slightly inebriated (!) and audibly wondered, "What the f*** have I just done?" 😄 Quote
saintgscot Posted August 26 Author Report Posted August 26 Would say that was me. But I swapped scarf before game LAUGH OUT LOUD what pissed me off was I was the one who stopped guy putting all the posters in the bin. Now I did give some away. They were A4 size. But I had bus stop size poster and another used to be in the old saints club. But due to a issue with a previous employer and having to leave accommodation I lost my bus stop size poster. Quote

Lubolzer Posted September 6 Report Posted September 6 The night before the game We were down the Nice seafront in a bar full of St Johnstone supporters. There was a live band playing. We asked if we could play a song and were going to play the Pack Boys dance but they were not having it. Probably just as well Quote
