How did we give away Ali McCann so cheaply! Watching this game tonight he would have been invaluable for Saints. Not the only one and Simo seems to be getting there but it is slow and two uninspiring deaws bring bad memories back - are we dipping again? Davidson and Levein  spring to mind. Is the honeymoon finally over? I hope not, COYS

Adding insult to injury Tommy Wright has just been on!

It feels like Webb and Co would have got a real fee for Ali.

Agree with above, however, Ali has been away for 4 years now? Arguably playing a higher level of football than he would be in the Premier League in Scotland. He's probably now spent more time in Preston's first team than he did in ours - with the potential he showed at Saints, I think it was inevitable that he'd raise his game as he learned more. He's also a wee bit older, a bit more mature, so I'd be disappointed if he hadn't improved with age. 

All that said, 100% with the above comments - Brown/Grieve/Flaherty/Davidson will never be forgiven in my eyes for what they did to the club - almost ruining it, a situation we are still recovering from.

Exactly. This stuff about selling Jason and Ali cheaply is nonsense. I think we got fair value based on how their careers have gone in the last 4 years.

Neither has got a move and neither has been anywhere near playing in the top flight in England.

The value we got for Ali was based on add ons not the sale value. It was a disgraceful transfer fee.

Does anyone know what the add ons were and if any money has come to us? 

Compare the price we got for him with the deals other clubs have done since and even at the time. Motherwell and Aberdeen were far better than us at getting money. It should have been a higher fee and add ons - not an either or.
