Smokie and they are not from Arbroath

Alice Springs in Australia. A place where no human should venture. The British Government did a lot of nuclear detonations in the desert in the 50's. Everyone looks like coagies

Better nothing leaks until the deal is done.  It may tip other clubs off so we don't get those we wish and end up like Newcastle last year with other teams taking their targets and those they were left with failed to make the grade.

Having said the lack of news on our out of contract players we'd wish to resign is worrying.

Not really worried tbf. Cheik was still in the country so easy to make the deal. You’d imagine Holt and Stanton might have family commitments or maybe even just want a break before entering talks.

You’d also wonder if commitments for staff elsewhere might impact it.

Are players not out of contract by the end of the month? If so I think everything will ramp up in the next few weeks.

Strange one with Franczak. Been rated by every manager we have had over the past few years, but just never been able to get a consistent run of games. Perhaps his versatility worked against him. Indication was that Saints have been trying to get him out on loan for the past few years, but he has always refused to go. Sounds to me if he has been badly advised. Be interesting to see where he ends up. Wherever it is, he needs to ensure he is playing regularly.

Given there is not many rumours floating about at the moment, I will throw one into the mix. Got told today by someone who is friends with Scott Arfield that we are due to sign someone from Livingston imminently. Lewis Smith the obvious one, but notice Killie had a 6 figure bid rejected yesterday. Simo has previously talked about how he likes Teti Yengi as a player. Might be nothing in it, but the person seemed pretty convinced.

Wonder if we will look to get Callan Hamill back on a loan from Arsenal. By all accounts Simo thinks he is an outstanding player and he seemed to get rave reviews playing in the Arsenal youth teams last season. Only 17 years old, but has trained with the Arsenal first team as well.

Don't think so. Simo doesn't like players under 23.

Theyll be wanting him "homegrown" as English wont they? So he'll be in England for 3 years.

Stanton. New contract till 2028.

Happy with this. I'll be honest, I thought he was mincemeat when he was giving chances in the first half of the season, but he turned it around after Xmas.
