Northern saint Posted May 15 Report Posted May 15 Better nothing leaks until the deal is done. It may tip other clubs off so we don't get those we wish and end up like Newcastle last year with other teams taking their targets and those they were left with failed to make the grade. Having said the lack of news on our out of contract players we'd wish to resign is worrying. Quote

You’d imagine Holt and Stanton might have family commitments or maybe even just want a break before entering talks. You’d also wonder if commitments for staff elsewhere might impact it. Quote

Cash Posted May 15 Report Posted May 15 Are players not out of contract by the end of the month? If so I think everything will ramp up in the next few weeks. Quote

Aitchy Posted May 18 Report Posted May 18 Strange one with Franczak. Been rated by every manager we have had over the past few years, but just never been able to get a consistent run of games. Perhaps his versatility worked against him. Indication was that Saints have been trying to get him out on loan for the past few years, but he has always refused to go. Sounds to me if he has been badly advised. Be interesting to see where he ends up. Wherever it is, he needs to ensure he is playing regularly. Given there is not many rumours floating about at the moment, I will throw one into the mix. Got told today by someone who is friends with Scott Arfield that we are due to sign someone from Livingston imminently. Lewis Smith the obvious one, but notice Killie had a 6 figure bid rejected yesterday. Simo has previously talked about how he likes Teti Yengi as a player. Might be nothing in it, but the person seemed pretty convinced. Quote

Aitchy Posted May 18 Report Posted May 18 Wonder if we will look to get Callan Hamill back on a loan from Arsenal. By all accounts Simo thinks he is an outstanding player and he seemed to get rave reviews playing in the Arsenal youth teams last season. Only 17 years old, but has trained with the Arsenal first team as well. Quote
