PSJ.84 Posted April 29 Report Posted April 29 Did anybody ever work out how to get the free delivery for MandM? Free returns would be a far better incentive! Dav69 1 Quote

I ended up messaging M&M and they were right on it. Sorted no problem but initially there didn't seem any knowledge of it. Took it off me sharpish in April but told me I had a month left etc before that. sane_tee and PSJ.84 2 Quote

templeofsaints Posted April 29 Report Posted April 29 I used Fanbase for a couple of the away games this year. Seems OK and I suppose it might be a saving for Saints Quote
PSJ.84 Posted April 30 Report Posted April 30 (edited) I’m not sure if they still do it but you used to get club’s Twitter feeds on Fanbase as well as all the ticketing stuff. Might be quite handy for those who don’t use Twitter. Edited April 30 by PSJ.84 Quote
templeofsaints Posted April 30 Report Posted April 30 (edited) North Stand to be the new Family Stand (except for category A games) so away fans located in the Ormond https://www.perthstjohnstonefc.co.uk/news/article/family-stand-returns-to-mcdiarmid-park/ Edited April 30 by templeofsaints garydavidson 1 Quote

Practically it makes it easier having all the Saints fans accessing the further away parts of the ground although that obviously wont be the case for old firm games. Is it just old firm that are category A? Quote

They have usually taken a decent away support and don't think it has been category A. The fact that they have fair throttled the away allocation in Edinburgh should be reciprocated by us. I would leave them with one stand and try to avoid adding any more teams to the 'toxic' category A pot Guess its more a police call? Quote
sane_tee Posted May 2 Report Posted May 2 Saints don't have the luxury of being able to fill out the stadium to "throttle" away allocations. It's a nice idea, though, that if we do ever get a large, loyal home support, we could limit the away support to one small section. Graeme S 1 Quote

Well hopefully some of the 7700 odd will make thrir way back next season. Quote
sane_tee Posted May 2 Report Posted May 2 Looking back at the crowds for the start of the 2014-15 season, the season immediately after Saints took 15,000 fans to the Scottish Cup final, I hold no hope that the crowds will be any better next season than they were this season past. Quote

Id hope things are different now, we probably had Steve Brown moaning about expenses before the season started and how desperate he was to sell Stevie May. Quote

My camping stove gave up on me halfway through a trip last month – boiling water became an impossible task. I tried a few things with no luck, then unexpectedly hit a decent streak at https://spinmamas.com/en-au that covered the cost of a compact replacement. For players in Australia, the platform handles AUD directly and processes withdrawals faster than most other places I’ve used, which makes a real difference when you're planning the next trip. On time, thanks ! Quote

Is it just old firm that are category A? I'm 50/50 on this. Great that the family stand is back... Happy enough with North Stand (and easy access to Fanzine). However... There's a bit of confusion about this process. We had a convoluted. council process to get a small standing section, meanwhile we're planning to use the North stand for months. I don't get it. The standing area should be close to away fans. So that means end of East stand facing Ormond. Cheapest option is to move the barriers- which were strongly supported financially by FCU, to that end so there's a bit of banter with away fans, which we all want. It's pointless having a standing area where it currently is with the new family section. It's designed to be close to opposition fans! Do we go back to council and wait months? I have no issues with away fans in the Ormond stand, get hypothermia, frostbite, put electrodes on the seats, blast music on the tannoys so their eardrums shatter. And I want North Stand renamed Ormond. Quote

The safe standing was entirely because they needed a new health and safety certificate because theyd changed the section from sitting to standing. The FCU being near families is something those at the club, and families asked, have wanted to help the atmosphere. Quote

The FCU being near families is something those at the club, and families asked, have wanted to help the atmosphere. There's a bit more to it. The council are concerned about Health and Safety - sure. But to have a standing area looking at wee bairns (bless them), maybe learn some pyro tricks 😄🚬 need a standing area at end of East next to Ormond. I doubt FCU will be that colourful with kids watching Tellytubies or K-POP. They'll go to the other end of the East Stand. Quote
