Just a shame the marketing and package offered wasn't bang on this season.

I have been vocal on here about the incorrect way I feel that the custodians of our club have handled the season ticket package this season. Like many, I have shared emails with Adam Webb about my views on how they could have handled things better. To be fair to him, he has always taken the time to respond and seems to have taken on board some of the suggested improvements by supporters. It will take some time though for me to regain any trust towards our owners and board. I remain angry that there may be people who have been placed in a situation whereby it is now unaffordable to support the club via a season ticket.

Despite my grievances, I have renewed my season ticket. Like most of us on here, supporting the club is a big part of my life and after last season I feel that Simo and the players deserve the backing of the support.

Thats the seat map released, count standing at just over 2,500 including 144 in padded as last year.

First impressions East Stand standing area just 28 sold so far. East Stand premium, plenty of seats availabe indicating some migration to cheaper seats.

The overall number seems good for this point in time and all but about 60 free ones in the family stand all the others will have paid something for their ticket.

Will check again just in case plan just released changes as only just released.

Last years final ST figure was 2,607 with 1,901 in the East Stand and 708 in the GB stand.

Current reserved seats per seat map is 2,541, Family Stand 107, East Stand 1,666 and GB Stand 768.

East Stand currently 235 down on last year.

GB Stand currently 60 ahead of last year. The 60 includes the 47 new reserved seats in Sections A&B  of the GB Stand the old away end.

The GB stand ST holders were less affected by the new seating arrangements and the uptake looks very good, sure to be some more sold before first SPFL game.

East Stand still has plenty of time to reach last years number or possibly exced it.

Some in the East will have moved to the Family and some may have decided to move to the GB enabbling them to pick their own seat for all games rather than leaving Fanbase to work out the most suitable alternative for the OF games.

Some will have moved seat within the East but still renewed.

Some of the 1,666 will be new ST holders.

Current sales at 2,541 is just 66 down on last years total with a long way to go. 

Theres a chance we might get close to 3,000 if the player recruitment goes well and the excitement towards kick off builds.

I suppose that the actual number of tickets is a little bit of a distraction though - according to the club  , 60% of ST holders will find their prices are lower - whether you believe that or not, the only way to actually judge how successful the ST launch has been is by the actual revenue it generates. With the current smoke and mirrors and disinformation coming from the club, I'd guess the only way to judge how bad a feck up this has been is by checking the accounts next year and seeing how much ST revenue was generated as opposed to the last set of accounts - again, only shareholders will be privy to that information, so somebody better placed than me will be able to ascertain that. 

I am seeing tactical pieces in the press though - a piece in the Courier "St Johnstone close in on big season ticket milestone and make extension announcement". When did The Courier ever even mention anything Saints were selling? Share sale? Double coin set? Championship coin set? Simo's beer? Championship beer? Championship whisky? etc etc - not a word. Then, out of the blue (pun intended), we have an article on the strip launch 🤨 and an unusually premature article on Logan Chalmers - an attempt to generate a positive vibe to boost ST sales? Maybe 🤷‍♂️, I genuinely don't know any more.

If that means my trust in what the club are saying is gone (for me) it's a sad day. I'm sure I'll not be the only one. I think the club have had a number of opportunities to dilute or wind back the ST package but have chosen not to do that, dig in their heels, and continue with many and varied spurious explanations/excuses.

Cant remember Saints ever saying how much the ST sales generate but Geoff Brown used to bang on about how important the income .

The sections in the cheaper seats in front of the East Stand premium seats are showing increased ST sales over this time last year.

Also no way of knowing if someone has moved sideways in the stand to obtain a cheaper seat.

After all the emotion the changes have caused I would hope that saints let us know how much the incone from ST sales is compared to last year.

Certainly some bridges needing mended when this all settles down.

As we won't be attending matches involving the gruesome twosome,  we chose not to renew our 3 season tickets in the Premium area and will instead buy PAYG tickets for premium seats. Now trying to put the season ticket s*"" show behind us and look forward to the season but there is no doubt Webb and Smith have lost a lot of trust ( the latter didn't have much anyway).

I have renewed and I am annoyed at myself for doing so. I can't bring myself to like any of their social media posts, or get excited about new signings. I'm hundreds of pounds worse off than I was this time last year. The disappointment of relegation pales in significance to the disgust of how I feel we as a core support have been treated. I will not be visiting the club shop this year, I think they've had more than enough of my money already.

Anyone can see the accounts, at any time....but as mentioned, splitting out season ticket money would be impossible to see in the accounts.

...and real high level stuff...our annual income is £6m/£7m so season tickets might be maybe 10-15% of our income.

It’s all about the football club at the end of the day .

The signings all look really good so if you are still swithering about a season ticket and maybe have to move for value for money then you know it makes sense. You can change your seat if you do happen to sit next to an MM (McD Moaner)

Currently there are 234 not sold Premium Seats in block H of the East Stand. This is a surprise as that section has always been the busiest section of the stadium. 

234 seats at full price £445 is £104,130. Thats a hell of a lot of money not being generated from the best view East Stand seats.

Overall ST numbers are looking good compared to last year but it looks like there has been movement away from the most expensive seats in the East Stand.

At the end of the early bird offer last year there were 536 ST's sold in the Premium Section H of the East Stand.

The current figure for the same section is 437. Thats 99 down on last year.

The bottom 3 sections of block H beneath the Premium Seats where the seats are less expensive has increased from 113 last year to 141 this year. Up 28.

With the overall ST numbers holding up it looks like there has been movement away from the Premium Seats to other areas, although some may have just moved over to the GB stand at a similar cost so they can pick there own seats for the OF games.

One good thing from this is that there will be a lot more Premium view seats available for folk that will just buy single match tickets.

Still a long way to go before Kick Off of our first SPFL game and hopefully we will sell more Premium Seats before then but at the moment just over one third of Premium Seats in the East Stand remain unsold.

We've not sold over 2850 season tickets in total ever have we? The idea we just need to sell that amount in one stand to retain the seats we pay hundreds of pounds for is nothing more than dangling a carrot outwith the rabbits cage.

Its a fake gesture of goodwill and should be treated with disdain really.

How would Trading Standards deal with this season ticket debacle? The Club has taken people's money without the season ticket holder knowing exactly what they are getting for their money. I'm obviously talking about the Premium supporters, not the cheap skate ones 😜 The alternative seat in the Main Stand hasn't been offered up yet, and now we're beyond the cancellation period for a refund.
