Theres a reason away fans were in the North, simply it was to help keep fans apart. 

The souvenier shop has always been a meeting point for saints fans pre match. Thats now in the away end.

Fancy a pint after the game. Those in the East stand will have walk through the away fans to get to the Muirton Suite or fanzone. For a pre match pint folk will leave the fanzone and have to walk through the away fans.

This has not been well thought through. Away fans should be in the North stand.

There are plenty of  reasons why the club have dropped the ball, but specifically, it is the way that the FCU guys have been utterly betrayed by the club that has really got me.

Living abroad, I'm an irregular visitor now, but those guys at the far end make the match day experience whenever I visit.

In my season ticket holding days (90s and 00s) McDiarmid didn't have a fraction of the energy and atmosphere it does now, and that is as a direct result of their efforts.

Did the club not realise those guys are there exactly because the away fans are in the north stand? They are not some kind of tool to be used by the club for its own purposes in enhancing 'the match day experience' in whatever way the club sees fit.

To kick them out of the standing area that they dutifully raised money for the visit of the old firm is entirely unforgivable. Shame on whoever thought that was a good idea.

These young guys are our clubs future, and the club should be bending over backwards to make sure that they are looked after. Instead they have been utterly disregarded.

Logistically, the whole thing sounds like an unmitigated disaster too, but many have made good points in that direction so will leave that to others.

After lurking on here more or less since the early days of this forum, I didn't think this kind of thing would nudge me into making my first post, but there we are.

How many OF fans will be in the GB stand?

As well as the existing hospitality facilities saints are opening 2 new hospitality spaces for the coming season. The supporter information released ahead of season ticket launch stated clearly" Please note, away fans will still be able to purchase hospitality packages for the Geoff Brown stand"

Suspect that as well as OF fans in the padded seats there could be another 100 in these 2 new hospitality spaces. 

Again utter madness having that many OF fans in the home end. What the heck are they thinking.

I'll wait and see what's said. Club have obviously been caught out by the depth of feeling though and reacted  - that's slightly better than the head in the sand approach of Broon jr era. Whether they'll do anything to fix this shambles remains to be seen.

Club feed says 500 tickets sold already. Personally I'm holding off until I hear what's said.

The pendulum has undoubtedly swung. I fully anticipate an apology, review and new approach. On a related matter, the club does not necessarily need to set in stone the fact that two clubs will receive tickets for three stands all season. The destruction and graffiti of the East Stand after one visit of them will surely force their hand into change surely if not in the next 24 hours? There is time for Smith and the club to come out of this well if they self-evaluate the errors made. 

Some of the mistakes regarding pricing for families are toe curling bad and childish in their  mathematical ignorance.

Historical sales v OF mean theres no "value" in keeping the East, so no question you give it away.

East Stand the busiest, but your giving away hundreds of seats for free, so you kill the u13s free in that stand to "maximize value" in that stand.

Literally money before fans in every way.

One adult, one over 65 and one under 13 all East Stand‘PREMIUM’ seats = +39.5% increase. They’re living in cloud cuckoo land 🤬

Just noticed the club have changed the finance option from previous seasons as well.

Previously people were able to spread the cost of a season ticket over 9 months which allowed people to make payments of £40/50 a month, but this season people either have to pay the full amount within 30 days or spread it over 3 months. An adult with a child buying a season ticket in the east stand will now be expected to pay a total of £515. Spread over 3 months (June, July and August - often expensive months for families with school holidays etc) that works out at £172 a month. Can see that putting quite a few off unfortunately.

A quick search of other Premiership clubs show that most others offer flexible packages (3/6/9/12 months) for their supporters.

As entertainment goes, out of interest, has anyone been to a concert at Murrayfield, Hampden or Wembley recently? 

The season ticket is for 20 matches or so and works out good value... Of course, there are increases. Maybe it was time, and even then the price of the season tickets is good.

 Many people wouldn't think twice about paying £100 to take kids to some activity park for the day, so why not pay Saints a small price for a 9 months of days out.

The OF thing is a headache. FCU and the away end seems a mistake. Why are away fans being moved? Crowd control? Or just so we can keep the fanzone open?

I paid up in full but yeah, when I saw the club mention Klarna as a payment option I assumed 12 months would’ve been as standard. I actually spoke to someone who said Klarna was preferable to a credit agency for them as they already had a Klarna account. I assume that’s been their thinking. However I agree, it’s being spread over 3 of the most expensive months!

Your point is correct, but what if said venue suddenly changed their pricing structure and there were increase in cost of 50% and you couldn't sit in your usual seat or have to pay far more for the pleasure maybe footfall would drop, but think that one off concerts are a different beast to a season of football and the dynamics of an average supporter.

There's absolutely no guarantee you get 20 matches from the season ticket. It depends on the split and can be 18.

Family Stand ticket being invalid for Cat A games aswell, so based on 24/25 theres 5 games where those tickets arent invalid and u13s arent free.

So 1 adult and 2 u13s pay £250 for potentially 13 games, and then potentially an extra £250 walk in for the 5 games their season ticket isnt valid for.

One thing's for sure, fans will now expect a more premium match day experience. We're not going to be so tolerant of no hot water, no soft drinks, no hot pies. 

Squadwise we'll have higher expectations and Saints TV needs to be spot on.

I know Saints don't fully control all of this but any business that brands any "membership" as premium has to expect those paying for it have much higher expectations.

It's all too much too soon.

Price increase I can personally swallow....even loosing the free kids places. That was frankly a crazy vale offer and i'm surprised it lasted so long.

Tiered pricing....our stadium doesn't feel full enough or large enough for it. 

Away fans....just seems a mess. Should have put family section in top end of the Main stand. Cutting Utd, Aberdeen and Dundee allocations is silly. As for OF...should have given fans a chance to show we'll turn up, I was considering but not now, no way. 

Hard to imagine feelings among fans could drop so low after the last few weeks but here we are.

They plough on with this, we better see results on and off the pitch.
