geoff was right!! Posted May 13, 2008 Report Posted May 13, 2008 Rangers for me. As much as I hate them when we play them, they're in the final and they're scottish. Quote
Ronaldo Posted May 13, 2008 Report Posted May 13, 2008 Rangers for me. As much as I hate them when we play them, they're in the final and they're scottish. .. who want to play outside Scotland if humanly possible and away from the wee diddy teams. Quote
SJC Posted May 13, 2008 Report Posted May 13, 2008 I was supporting Rangers until recently, had enough of their patter to last a lifetime. d*** ADVOCAAT'S BARMY ARMY! Quote
Dave H Posted May 13, 2008 Report Posted May 13, 2008 Rangers for me as they are representing (Sco). I'll be at Perth Races so not really supporting them.... would prefer them to win, even though I have Zenit links. Quote
Steve Zissou Posted May 14, 2008 Report Posted May 14, 2008 I'm kind of indifferent. Much as i despise Rangers, Zenit have an openly racist recruitment policy. I just hope the fans behave themselves, and don't ruin the reputation of travelling 'Scottish' football supporters. Quote
Linky Posted May 14, 2008 Report Posted May 14, 2008 If you're looking to support a club for moral reasons, surely you should support Rangers here? Zenith are openly racist (similar to a lot of Eastern European and Italian clubs). Rangers fans may be bad,but at least they don't do things like this: http://www.slate.com/id/115070/ Quote
bluewhite4 Posted May 14, 2008 Report Posted May 14, 2008 Hmmmm... Racists or bigots I dont care either way to be honest. I just think it is a shame that Scottish football is being represented by a bunch of bigots waving union jacks and singing Rule Brittania who seem right at home down in England - I just wish they would stay there! angus-saint253 Posted May 14, 2008 Report Posted May 14, 2008 gotta be rangers for me, however english they wish they are, i guess they are still the scottish team . Quote
Grovesred Posted May 14, 2008 Report Posted May 14, 2008 ...a bunch of bigots waving union jacks and singing Rule Brittania who seem right at home down in England - I just wish they would stay there! God, no, please! I just popped round to York station to pick some tickets up, only find the place dotted with Rangers fans getting pissed. It's York races today, so with pissed-up punters from all over the country spilling off trains, I think the transport police are in for a busy couple of hours. I'm appalled by Advocaat's admission that he wouldn't dare sign a black player. Lenin and Trotsky must be spinning in their graves. Quote
TheBigCheese Posted May 14, 2008 Report Posted May 14, 2008 I'm appalled by Advocaat's admission that he wouldn't dare sign a black player. Lenin and Trotsky must be spinning in their graves. You're right but it's not that long ago that he would have has to say the same thing with regard to Rangers and catholics. The book "Football Against the Enemy" has a great story in it about a group of Rangers fans who refused to celebrate any goals scored by Mark Hateley because they heard a rumour he was a catholic. From what I've read about Zenit recently though it seems they and Rangers are well suited, perhaps the two of them and Celtic could form a European Super Prejudice League. Quote

There was a pub in Glasgow that used to not count any goals Mo Johnston scored for Rangers and produced an alternative league table every week - i.e. if they had won 2-1 and Johnston scored both then they classed it as a 1-0 defeat. dee4life Posted May 14, 2008 Report Posted May 14, 2008 I,m not to bothered who wins but I suppose rangers are a scottish team and I know a few people down there now.I,m in it for the cash though and am thinking of backing zenit so if I do I support them. Quote
Dennistoun Saint Posted May 14, 2008 Report Posted May 14, 2008 Despite having to dodge past the already steaming *** masses around Central Station at lunch time I'm hoping their team wins tonight. It would be a fantastic achievement for a Scottish (however wannabe-English) team. Quote
