Quite liked the Plough, I was one of the lucky "dad's to be" as all 3 of my daughters were born in the PRI before they closed the matty and started transferring expectant parents through to Ninewells. Infact I still have some of the Save the PRI merchandise stored along with other baby stuff. I enjoyed many celebratory pints with Meikie etc and the place had doss pool tables

My auntie worked there too, probably sometime in the 70s. Her name was Lorna Colburn.

Hmmm! Roon' the corner. Polite question... 🤨

Would that be the mythical Mercer Terrace by any chance?

It would indeed Sir.

Moved to Brahan Terrace from Inchaffrey Street in mid-50's. 2 blocks down from Mercer. Tommy (F1) Dixon stayed in the same block for a time. We moved 'roon' the corner to Mercer in late 50's. Taking up residence next door to Tam Worby of Worbys (Crieff Road) Bakery fame.
