I thought it was pretty funny for 2 reasons.1.arabs dont refer to us as that(its more a perth thing)and 2.I,m glad we are not far from their thoughts.I,m sure he is probably regretting saying it now, just another tabloid filler at the end of the day.

Yeah, I thought it was a bit of a strange thing to say to Dundee United fans because it's more of a slur on the city than Dundee FC.

QUOTE.. Dundee Lord Provost John Letford said Sturrock’s comments were “disappointing.”

“It is taking rivalry a bit too far,” he said.

“I know there is rivalry between the two clubs as well as anybody else but it’s never been anything more than banter.

“His language is a bit strong.

LANGUAGE A BIT STRONG !!.................Memo to Lord Provost.........Waken up mate...call that strong !!!

Anyone who gets upset over that is an idiot. Probably the same kind of idiot who berates opposition players from the stands then runs to the police if they respond in any way.

I thought it was funny myself and it's simply a little bit of banter and rivalry.

Sturrock has now cemented himself as the most hated man in Dundee, the fool was hated before his comments.

Probably due to playing and managing more successful clubs than yours!:laugh::laugh::laugh:
