One of the most respected and honest guys to wear a Saints strip.

Not blessed with great skill, but made up for it in endeavour.

A bit like Frazer Wright in that they are both great blockers.

Good luck to the big man.

Couldn't agree more. Would be great to see him make the step up and do well as a manager.

That run though. As a young kid watching him play, it was endlessly entertaining watching him sprint the length of the pitch to get back into position during a counter attack!

I'd be surprised if anyone has scored more OGs in a career, or completed a smaller percentages of passes, but the guy was a great defender and scored a fair few goals at the other end too.  All the best to him at Brechin.

Dods has been coaching the SFA 2020 boys this season at Peffermill. Nice guy, but really quiet. Has had to give it up obviously now he has the new job...only a couple of weeks to go though

  • 4 weeks later...

Kevin Twaddle on the radio yesterday talking about his gambling addiction - comments connected with a new scheme in Glasgow where addicts can self-ban in all bookies in the city centre.

I'd recommend a read of Twaddle's autobiography to anyone who was following Saints during that period of the 90s - he talks really highly of the club and has some interesting insights into stuff that was going on behind the scenes that us, as average fans, would never have known about.
