Bnei Sakhnin F.C. (Arabic: اتحاد أبناء سخنين‎, Hebrew: איחוד בני סכנין‎, Ihud Bnei Sakhnin; Ittihad Abna Sakhnin, lit. Sons of Sakhnin United) is an Israeli football club based at the Doha Stadium in Sakhnin. They are the most successful club among the Arab-Israeli clubs in the country, having won the State Cup in 2004

Only just realised why I recognised the victorious  Berwick manager who is Stewart Malcolm who managed 1 game for Saints around the turn of the century.

He was sent off in his only first team appearance for us (a 2-0 defeat from Celtic - some match info below), and never played again. Shame, as he seemed a really promising prospect at the time.

Jason starts tonight for Wigan in the Cup, as does Ali for Preston.

PNE fans just love Ali. One comment (70 % of the world covered with water, McCann covers the rest). Various others commenting on what a bargain they got.

They are mightily impressed with our Max

Forres Mechs manager Rowley was particularly impressed by Brechin’s first scorer, Ukrainian Max Kucheriavyi, on loan from St Johnstone, who he rates as the best player he has seen in Highland League football for years.

“By all accounts St Johnstone’s chairman and Roddy Grant (Saints associate director) were there on Saturday and there’s rumours that he’s going to get taken back to St Johnstone given the way he’s been performing.

He’s just at a completely different level from where we are used to working at.
