You might have spied me going in there in the sixties after cricket matches on the South Inch.

Remember it was a favourite haunt of Duncan McNab our wicket keeper. 

 

Can recall the Tartan carpet, in fact the lounge was named " The Tartan Lounge"

 

It was a great pub when Adam ran it, can you remember what his wife was called, she used to be barmaid in the County Lounge

Took me a while, i searched everywhere for this picture but eventually found the bugger. My granny stayed across the road from here and i have many fond memories sitting by her window watching the comings and goings of the folk who frequented this pub

Who on earth would any one change the name to the Scaramouche??

I think there should a listed building type status to protect historical pub names.

They keep their name for centuries then some muppet comes along & changes them??
