it would be intresting to see how many players are called up to the under 21's because of a good couple of games. that dosen't justify not buying a proven scorer for a guy who scored 2 goals and was average most of the time

So you've wrote the boy off after a few games? What a stupid thing to post. He is a young lad that has plenty of things to learn, not an experienced player that has seen a total loss of form. He has potential, whether he will fulfill it or not is another matter. He was never going to be an automatic starter this season.

Are you saying 2 good games warrants him to be a regular for the saints team? the point is that why on earth would we not go for a striker who has proven he knows where the net is regardless of what division he plays in just because a young player had a couple of decent matches it's ridiculous. agreed! may is being bigged up by fans who want a local boy coming through the youth ranks to be successful but in all truthfulness he had 2-3 good games then fizzled out when he got his chances.
