  1. From Official Site:

The short tour will start on Friday evening 20th July with a game yet to be confirmed and then on Sunday 22nd July we will meet Finn Harps with a 7pm kick off. The games in the Emerald Isle are completed with a game against Ballymena United on Monday 23rd July at 7.30pm.

Brilliant at last the king of pre-seasons is back. Remember when we filled two hotels Barrys was one of them. What was the other?

  2. I draw comparisons to a Keigan Parker.

Weatherston is fast, and his off ball running is particularly good. I thought he was the best player in the div 3 playoff first leg, scoring a goal and setting up the other.

youth on his side, which is good, but not tall enough and was a little light on his feet at times.

    QUOTE]

Does his signing mean that Felipe Morais will now not return to Saints on extended loan?

  3. Aye the usual, dont like this, dont like that, oh i didnt like that but now i do (the strips ;)) then the usual who will we sign, who have we been linked with, jason's gone - big surprise etc

walking through Glasgow today and a jerk shouted 'C'mon Gretna' - not gone away yet Kev.

  4. It seems an age since Saints have had pure quality at both right and left back. Goran Stanic is god, great going forward, and better defensively than some suggest. In fact Nakamura and Sproule are still in his back pocket. But right back is less convincing - stop-gap showings for Ando and Mensing, inconsistent selections due to injury and mixed-reviews for Andy Lawrie.

    So:

Who can fill the right back slot?

And who makes up the greatest pairing in the club's history?

  5. hope the cowden game is a saturday, could turn it into a wee session ;)

wee jimmys and the woodside braw

...sad its off had already booked a table for four at the Tapas bar at the posh end of Cowdenbeath....Bet you never thought you'd read that...

  6. Had to be for the excitement when Martin Hardie scored in the last five minutes against Gretna to win 2-1.

For sheer desperate relief his goal against Clyde when we had to win felt good too.

  7. The inevitable has happened, big Jason is gone. I wish him all the best down south he has earned his chance. Makes it even more important he is replaced with quality by OC given the injury probs of Savo....

All the best now and for the future and thanks for the memories, especially that goal at Motherwell.

  8. Who says I am not oor Betty...................

Because her real name is Betty Haskins and she was born in Muskegon, Michigan, 1946. She didn't drink in the Abbotsford and the Muskegon Branch of the Saints Supporter club wasn't established until the Totten era.

  9. I've just read the official site's explanation as to why there is so much white on the new strip, to accomodate the royal blue logo of sponsor George Wimpey.

Some fans won't like it but its a credible explanation and if we win the First playing in fair-isle cardigans I'd be happy.

It could be a lot worse - Livingston's sponsor the year they went bust was Intelligent Finance. And Ross County played with Aberdeen Asset Management as a sponsor, to my knowledge the only time that a team has played with a rivals' name on their strip.

I hope that Keillers of Dundee don't get ideas above their station.

    Any more sponsors from hell?

  11. I remember him being called Mary McPhee! Came from never having tackled anyone during his Muirton days!

    Sad news indeed.

RIP Mary one of the great flowing passers - fond memories. Maybe the first modern midfielder in Saints history. The rest were mere half-backs.

  12. i dont think oc can be blamed for not givin him his chances

he played Wullie when poss because he is/was the player for the foreseeable future

however, i do think Fil is a v good player and would love to seem him again next season. especially with savo back in the 1st team...

i think OC is keen to get him back. With so many games at the end of the season he didn't get the coaching and direction he deserved and is due another chance. Good addition to our squad - gives us depth and width.

  13. Ok, there is a lot of controversy around due to season ticket pricing and the new strip and of course every one should be entitled to their opinions.

So, how about listing some of the positives which may negate the feeling on the forum at the moment that the club is not caring about the fans views. Which incidentally, I dont believe is true...............

cheaper going to see Saints than it is to wacth Betty lavette in concert - Betty.

  14. Probably true! We used to gub Airdrieonians (20+ league games undefeated) but the minute they became Airdrie United and took Clydebank's place in the league, we can't beat them!

Your showing your age Rads when I was a teenager we couldn't beat Airdrie for ten years. Even the great '71 team got humped 5-0 by them, probably our worst defeat in one of our greatest eras.
