Is this due to all the shite previously spouted by banned members??
Haha no, I think the extra traffic we've been receiving has been due to people coming on here to talk about Saints in Europe rather than to read their latest wind-up attempts...
-
And what will she be remembered for ?? Commonwealth winner, BBC sports personality of the year or as Newyearsday said, shitting in the street.
She'll be remembered for being World Record holder as well. Unlikely that it'll last forever but she will stick in people's minds for that too.
-
Thread closed due to thread originator being a wind-up merchant and reincarnation of previously banned poster.

I was previously a Glasgow Saint and I will almost certainly be back in that position in the next few months. Count me in when I'm back from Spain.

Higgins injured, that's probably good news. Who are the other boys on trial
Appreciate it was a joke but wishing injury on someone (unless their surname is Novo) is just not cricket.
Higgins seems like a decent back-up striker to me anyway.

2-1 stead
Jon Stead loves pre-season games. Saw him score a peach for Sunderland at Carlisle a few seasons back and looked really good, didn't score all season in the first team.

Is it SPL compliant to have a pricing policy for away fans where u charge them the same as they charge you ? So every home game we have we have samerice for us home fans but different price dependant on who we are playing ? Seems fair to me ???
I think that on a game-by-game basis you have to charge the same for home and away fans that are in equivalent seats. That's definitely how it works in England anyway and is probably the same for us.
-
It goes against everything I believe in, but the drum was actually quite effective as it wasn't continuosly hit and did stimulate more of our support. This game was always going to take care of it self so the first home game will give a real indication of if things have moved on and improved.
I think the important thing was that it was fully integrated into the singing done by the rest of the fans as opposed to being a continuous and monotonous irritant as it seems to be at certain stadia down south.

What I had specificly in mind involving opposition fans as well, was something big organised around the ICT and Ross County games ( as in general, their fans are pretty sound)
I don't see why you couldn't try and organise this kind of thing with any of the smaller-sized away supports in the league. They're probably much more normal in person than they are behind P&B aliases!
For this I mean St Mirren, Kilmarnock, Ross County, Inverness, Motherwell. There's no reason why we couldn't involve away supporters from any of those clubs, they're all similar clubs to ourselves really.
Aberdeen, Hearts, Hibs, Dundee United, Celtic and Dundee would bring too many fans for it to work and there'd be issues with potential trouble.
Coming to McDiarmid has never been the most attractive fixture for any away fans but there are things we can do to make it better for all of us.

Thanks RM, great for me to see those videos as an exile. It gives a totally different perspective from having watched the match on a stream.
-
Please note, however, that none of this is criticism or complaint.
Seems rather like both of those to me, neither of which are either constructive or necessary.
Let's not let this nonsense get in the way of celebrating a great night.

There was maybe 100 of them, tops, but they were extremely loud and enthusiastic. "Atmosphere" was the usual stilted and self conscious affair, but particularly noteable was the west side of the park sitting in stony silence throughout. I think it's maybe time to accept that Perth skews older, richer, more religious and dourer than most other towns, and isn't going to have the kind of frothing fanaticism you see from other clubs' support. The robotic attempts to "get something going" were largely embarassing.
I have to say that's quite contrary to what was coming across on the live stream and BBC Scotland commentary. I thought the atmosphere came across really well.

Just want to say a huge thanks to everyone who supported this initiative. It went better than I could ever have hoped. Great turn out and everyone entered into the spirit of things. Thanks also to the ESES guys and girls who made it. You are ALL stars..
Also thanks to all those who helped with various bits and pieces.
The fact is, we could not have done this without everyone.
So well done to you all.
I hope that perhaps during the season we might do it again for maybe ICT or Ross County.
Gutted I couldn't make it home tonight but I could only make one leg and the away trip / party had to take priority. Great stuff Ghost in getting this organised and making it a success.
I'm sure you don't need any encouragement but I really hope we can keep up this momentum and use initiatives like this to increase the feelgood factor at Saints games. It's the kind of thing that will attract people back more than the results, the level of enjoyment at games, but even if it doesn't then it can still make the matchdays more enjoyable for us diehards who would go under all circumstances.
Well done everyone!

Was poor in the first leg and and was hellish tonight, looked way out of his depth!! Cost us a goal and was rightly taken off straight after it!!
Early days I know but I hope McKay stays fit!!
I thought he was alright to be honest but was definitely done by the pace and skill of Kamara for their goal.
I thought he was taken off simply because he was on a yellow and we had our captain and arguably best player available to take his place. Not too difficult to understand the logic IMO.
I really don't think that tonight is the night to be making scapegoats of anyone, we should be enjoying a good night for our support and the club. I'm proud of all 14 players tonight.
-
Ps: thank u for translation of Roy. I was looking after u and Kevin when we reach to EsEs but couldnt find
We were looking around for you as well but everyone was lost in the crowd!
Good luck for the rest of the season, maybe we'll play again some time.

Tade is a DUDE
Brilliant interview on Radio Scotland just now, sounds like he's delighted to be at the club. Bodes well!
-
Great show from u guys. EsEs fans and Saints yell together and mexican wave. Thank u
We've given it our all tonight and just come up short. Proud of my team tonight, even if we are out.
Good luck in the next round!
-
shame we've not got a decent referee, he's blowing every time we touch them.
Kamara is so greedy its unbelievable.
Their guy near enough squared up to the linesman. Even with Dede's little corner thing I thought their players were ****s in the first leg and I stand by that now, shame their amazing fans have to worship such a bunch of scumbags, although that boy did accept Cregg's apology nice and quick
Tbh I disagree, I think their players have been fairly sporting. Better than half the games I see in La Liga anyway.

anyone got a link for the radio scotland commentary?> not sure how much more of this turkish I can take....
You can only listen to it from the UK or through a VPN connection, you can purchase one here for a small fee: www.streamvia.com
I believe there are also free sites which offer this service.
-
I can't get radio scotland to work over here. Am I doing something wrong?
Radio Scotland commentary is UK only, you'll need a VPN connection if you want to hear it.
I use www.streamvia.com, you have to pay but it's only £3 or so for a month, not much for access to all UK only content e.g. Radio Scotland, BBC iPlayer, etc.

Eskişehirspor president Halil Ünal said in Edinburgh '' from our side St. Johnstone is sister club of Eskişehirspor from now on.
I like the sound of that!
It seems like the relationship between the clubs has been as good at senior levels as it is between us fans.
-
Dev apparently has time to waste on here but not enough time to answer his emails!
What?!
Will PM you...
-
Neither the chairman nor the ex-chairman in Saints tartan!
SACK THE BOARD!!
-
That's quite amusing considering the pap he filled our team with at the time.

Good luck EsEs, I'm sure you guys will enjoy the game even without any fans from France.
