  1. Nothing yet, what I'd give for a chippy/curry/anything, should probably stop reading this thread come to think of it...
  2. If that's the case, forget splashing cash on a Striker who can score goals, lets bring back Michael Moore for a mere 35K. There was a player who never stopped running... Hard work can be deceptive, you do need some ability to go with it. Sheridan obviously knows where the goal is, although unlikely, would be great to see him back next season.
  3. Wow, I see someone's unpopular up in here. From what I've seen over the last couple games Smith has been OK, sure he was at fault for the Rangers game but has otherwise seemed steady enough. I was however, delighted when we first signed him. Main, for me, had been suspicious even last season (remember Rangers in the cup??) and as much as he is loved for his eccentricity, it has to be Smithy in goal for the remainder of the season and beyond, if not then bring someone in over the Summer
  4. Gotta echo most sentiments on here, disappointing day. The players will know more than anyone they let a great chance go to waste. Just got to hope Killie can do us a favour and we do the business against Aberdeen. I thought there were some decent performers tonight, I think the main reason most people are gutted is that we did have that game there to win and failed to take the chance. 2 really good chances we had fell to Doobs and MacKay and failed to work the keeper, Craig's volley didn't fall kindly for him and Morris snatched his in the first half. Less said about the penalty the better
  5. Haha funny...Farmer jokes never get old mate. Is it because you feel insecure about walking in on **insert female relative here** being "ploughed" by the milkman?? Anyway onto the game, not expecting to take much from it, 4-5-1 didn't work, we couldn't contain the bloody Paixio brothers, how can we expect to contain one half of the bigot brothers? 4-4-2, hopefully Sammy can get in about the ageing legs of David Weir. No fear, knock the ball around, clear the lines and get lucky up top.
  6. Cheers bud. First topic I came across, still getting used to this wee place. Like I said though, I would love to be proved wrong! If he gets a chance and plays well then that's great
  7. And then what? Play tight with 3 in the middle? Its been well documented that Irvine has been below par recently and that Grainger is no stalwart, so leaving them 1v1 at the back is asking for trouble. Playing 4-3-3 in my opinion leaves us open to being criminally broke down. And I doubt Swankie and Morais would be willing to do lengths of the pitch all day to help them out. I will admit to favouring the 4-3-3 back in Div 1, that was when Irvine was playing outstanding and Stanic was on the other side and playing Peaso out wide gave us an ariel threat against the wing-backs, can you imagine Swankie in a 50/50 against Papac? Doesny bear thinking about
  8. Because someone somewhere once believed the hype he could actually play. He may have shown one of these glimpses of brilliance some people seem to drool over once or twice, but to play regular football and this standard? No thanks.
  9. I dunno if it's a case of him wanting it enough, surely playing professional football in the highest league in your country should be incentive enough to work your backside off and try to break into the first team. So I am not fully convinced by these 'not wanting it enough' comments. So i suppose I'll stand up for him on that front. However, in the few times I have seen him play in a Saints strip and from his time I saw him at Dundee I never saw anything from that would suggest he would be a good asset for an SPL club. I would love to be proven wrong, but I suspect we won't be seeing him in a Saints strip(more commonly tracksuit or shirt and tie) for much longer.
