  1. Right I will get salted for this no doubt

Would of been a cracking signing if it had been for 2 years, or a season long loan at the start of the season. It is said he is firmly in Milwalls plans so no chance of a Kernigan which leaves us square one at the start of the season again. Getting him now in the position we are in is shutting the door once the horse has bolted isome what. In our position in this particular window loans are no use. Had we been 3 points or so off then yes. The league is all but gone so how does this help St Johnstone FC (bar on game in the semi if he can play) all it does is help the player and Milwall

I expect I will be told it buys OC time to find a right winger to sign...well he has had a year and a half.

Looking forward to seeing him play, but in the big picture what use is he

I see where you are coming from SJ but is not now a case of damned if you do, damned if you don't? It is not actually beyond the realms of fantasy yet to win the league (slim tho' the chances are) and getting a player like this may be just the impetus we need. Added to which he may help to put bums on seats. Promotion or not, at least this will perhaps show what we have been missing and hopefully how well we can play with an out and out winger.

    Keep smiling shaggy!! 8)

  2. you moaners are starting to piss me off big time. A game in horrendous conditions (a recognised leveller), we create lots of chances and find a keeper at the top of his form, a wonder strike against us from one of the few chances the opposition made and we still win!! FFS, get behind the team....... pretty please!!!

....and the first person to mention a certain colour of spectacles gets a bucket of spew over their head.

  3. I'm frankly gobsmacked at the some of the moaning on here based on that game today. The only winner was the weather, absolutely atrocious and no-one can play properly in that and because of it the result was a lottery. And as for calling them work-shy, absurd! was this comment from someone who fannyed about with the ball when we wanted it back in play quickly - the ballboys were getting slated for less!!

And if there was only 1900 in that stadium then I'm leo sayer - a definite case of tax dodging I think.... err allegedly.

  4. I done ok in my standard grades, and ballsed up 5th year due to lack of attendance...

It's not a case of earning peanuts in my job now - i earn a bloody good wage for my age and things but i want to move next summer which means i need to save more and more so i am being sensible!

And i am not in debt, like many others my age down to uni and things and i am about to start a professionals course before going on to a management degree next year all paid for by my work so it is working out in the long run! :)

well good on ya is all i can say. And there was me thinking Scotland was heading towards a dependency culture

  5. Too young to remember 1999 when he won the League Cup with Spurs but not able to use Google????!

Mainly with Arsenal he won between 1986 and 1999…2 English Championships, 1 English FA Cup, 3 English League Cups and 1 European Cup Winners Cup.

He will be considered too old and too British to be offered a 'top club' these days. For the record he is 62 - 3 years younger than Sir Alex!

was he not also charged on some bung enquiry? All allegedly of course.

  6. can I ask how much work you did at school Hazel? Perhaps if you'd done a wee bit more you may have got a better paid job and not now need to work all hours? Just a thought from someone with post degree education and still only earning peanuts!!:cry:

  7. sorry to go off topic here but 1884 has just reminded me of an article in my sunday paper this week about the people of perth being too prudish for an Anne Summers shop and it having to close through lack of business! I guess Marks n sparks undies are sexy enough for the men of perth!??

  8. at the risk of repeating myself, the dutch 'total' football is the way to go!! It sure does confuse the opposition, they don't know who to mark. Did anyone notice during the Ayr game that at one point Anderson was up in midfield chasing the player with the ball. Who dropped back into central defence.... Yep, Paul Sheerin. Heck, he's even filled in at right back when Lawrie has actually crossed the half way line! Of course, the problem with 'total' football is that you need players with some brains, who can think on their feet. Alas, Sheerin seems to be the only one to fit the bill.
