Looks like Mannus is staying put. Not that it was ever feasible for the deal ( loan or permanent ) to take place, with you's having your third choice keeper out on loan. Maybe re-ignite the interest in May when his contract is up.

Kicks off March 2nd. Pre-season starts in the next week/two. We currently have no keepers.

Word here in Dublin is a move has been made from his old club Shamrock Rovers for him. Not sure what the deal consists of though. I'd imagine a loan..?

Nah I've checked that. I was under the impression he was all set to sign for Morton, but talks broke down? Just didn't hear was coming back to Ireland, just wondering where that came from.

Thanks for the replies lads. I'm sure he didn't make the move to sit on the bench. Was always his goal though to play in the UK, so couldn't begrudge him the move. Just on the Enkleman thing, if I remember correctly did he not make a big mistake a couple of weeks back? I think a couple of us here in Dublin where hoping that was Big Al's chance, but Lomas stuck with Enkleman. Was also talk of Graham Gartland signing for us. The deal was apparently meant to go through last year until he got injured. Looks any potential deal though is dead in the water with him being linked to Morton in the first division. Or is that now a done deal?

Hi folks Shamrock Rovers fan here. Just wondering what the situation is with goalkeeper Alan Mannus? I've been following his progress ( or lack of it! ) since his move, and don't think he's kicked a ball for The Saints. Is he expected to get a game v Brechin on the weekend? Also, is his contract up at the end of the current season and what are the chances of him renewing his contract at McDiarmuid Park? I was just interested because Shamrock Rovers are actually looking for a keeper and his name was touted to even get him back on loan, but I seen your 3rd choice keeper has had his loan spell extended at some other club? So kind of rules that out I think! Be interested to hear your thoughts on him and his future, and best of luck at the weekend.
