A short piece by Rod Liddle in the Sunday Times (28/08) headed 'Scots on their knees'. I quote the first few lines:
'I had a nasty shock, watching St. Johnstone's victory over Celtic. There, wandering around the centre of the park with that familiar expression of lupine arrogance unfulfilled, was, Jody Morris. Christ, I wondered, what's he doing there? I would have thought he'd have given up by now and had alternative employment, perhaps as a stress counsellor or a priest. He was struggling when Millwall were in Division One four years ago. But there he was in the St. Johnstone midfield...Anyway, Celtic somehow lost to a side which, 150 miles to the south , would exist somewhere in the top half of League Two'
So that is how we are perceived.
