  1. Generally, I think we were lucky with first round and shouldn't have problem with any of these teams. Maybe Shamrock... Now concerning round 2 which will be drawn at 14:30, we would like to avoid: Kairat, Jagiellonia, Norrköping, Bnei Yehuda, Ferencvaros... and 50/50 with Brann, Haugesund, and 3 bulgarian teams
  2. Potential opponents: - Our draw number is 2. We would like to avoid no. 10 (Shamrock). Other teams are pretty much the same, including our old friends VPS. Group 8 Seeded Stjarnan (ISL) 4.175 St Johnstone (SCO) 6.535 Olimpija Ljubljana (SVN) 4.625 Dinamo Minsk (BLR) 10.975 Crusaders (NIR) 3.900 Unseeded NSÍ Runavík (FRO) 1.450 Liepāja (LVA) 2.225 VPS Vaasa (FIN) 2.030 Trakai (LTU) 1.575 Shamrock Rovers (IRL) 3.065
  3. Right now, they are publishing seeding groups. Group 1 Seeded Trenčín (SVK) 6.850 Maccabi Tel-Aviv (ISR) 23.375 İnter Bakı (AZE) 6.050 Dacia Chisinau (MDA) 3.650 Shirak (ARM) 3.775 Unseeded Shkëndija (MKD) 3.375 Gorica (SVN) 3.375 Mladost Lučani (SRB) 3.075 Tirana (ALB) 1.825 Torpedo Kutaisi (GEO) 1.775 Group 2 Seeded Lech Poznań (POL) 10.950 Kairat Almaty (KAZ) 5.550 Altach (AUT) 6.570 Levski Sofia (BUL) 4.425 Zirä (AZE) 3.550 Unseeded Sutjeska (MNE) 3.300 Differdange (LUX) 3.475 Chikhura Sachkhere (GEO) 3.025 Atlantas (LTU) 1.825 Pelister (MKD) 1.12
  4. EuroTrivia: Episode 3 Breaking down possible Saints opponents in Europe, in this episode 5 teams from potential 2nd Qualifying round because the draw will be held on the same day. Somewhat historically successful teams will be unseeded in this round, including our old foes Zeljeznicar.
  5. Officialy, UEFA need to review each club European licence previously issued by national football association, based on financial fair-play. Then, they send admission letter (like this) to club address a couple of days before the draw and publish official access list. After that, a week before the match teams send A and B squad list.
  6. Like ss said the draw for the 4th round is made after the ties. But, the draw for 3rd round is between 1st and 2nd fixtures so potential unseeded teams in the 2nd qualifying round that qualify for the next round take effectively the coefficient of their opponent in the next round. That however doesn't really matter for us because we are already seeded in 2nd round and unseeded in 3rd. But if for example someone kick out Galatasaray in 2nd round that club will be seeded in 3rd.
  7. Full final list of potential opponents and seeding in all 4 rounds. Saints are seeded in rounds 1 and 2; and unseeded in potential rounds 3 and 4. The draw for both 1st and 2nd qualifying round will take place on June 19th. In round 2 I think we would like to avoid: Kairat, Norrkoping, Bnei Yehoda, Levski, Jagiellonia and even Valleta, Reykjavik. Draw explanation by Kassiesa In the qualifying rounds the teams are divided into groups with the same number of seeded and unseeded teams. A few hours before the draw a computer system is used to prepare the groups such that teams of the same association are not in the same group and and that all groups are about equal strength (in terms of ranking). Then all clubs in each group are ordered randomly and identified by a number. The draw then determines the pairs in the groups. For the draw of the 1st round the 100 teams are divided into 10 groups of 10 teams. For the 2nd round the 66 teams are divided into 3 groups of 10 teams and 3 groups of 12 teams. Unseeded teams in the 1st qualifying round that qualify for the next round take effectively the coefficient of their opponent in the next round. The reason for this is that the draw for the 2nd qualifying round is made before the results of the 1st qualifying round are known.
  8. EuroTrivia: Episode 2 Breaking down possible Saints opponents in Europe, 5 teams from 1st Qualifying round per episode. Next five teams coming from: small industrial towns in Slovakia and Luxembourg, capital of Estonia and one of the best preserved medieval cities in Europe, popular ''rebel city'' of Ireland and ''tobacco city'' of Moldova.
  9. Updated Round 1 bellow EuroTrivia: Episode 1 Breaking down possible Saints opponents in Europe, 5 teams from 1st Qualifying round per episode
  10. Pregroups of 5 seeded and 5 unseeded teams are announced one hour before the draw begins. Until recently UEFA assigned it based on regional formula because of teams travel cost, but it changed couple of years ago and no one really knows formula how computer assign groups right now or is there any at all (excluding forbidden matchups between teams from Spain-Gibraltar, Russia-Georgia, Armenia-Azerbaijan, Serbia&BIH-Kos...) We can only look back and see potential opponents of scottish teams in earlier years: 2016/17 Pregroups (Hearts, Aberdeen, Hibernian in EL) Teams from Austria, Israel, Faroe Islands, Lithuania, Denmark, Latvia, Ireland, Estonia, Wales, Hungary, Norway, Luxembourg, Iceland, Finland, Belarus, Croatia, Sweden, Malta, Poland, Bulgaria. 2015/16 Pregroups (WE, Aberdeen, Inverness in EL) Teams from Albania, Cyprus, Armenia, Island, Latvia, Czech, Norway, Macedonia, Wales, Finland, Croatia, England, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Slovakia, Poland, Romania So as you can see, we could get opponents from all around Europe.
  11. Table update: There were some surprising changes in First Qualifying Round but we remain in seeded group. Also, we will be at favored side of the draw in Round 2 and unseeded in possible Rounds 3 and 4. EuroTrivia about possible first round opponents coming soon.
  12. Here is a table showing pots for all 4 qualyfing rounds according to current situation in european leagues. It is subject to change. We are certainly seeded in Round 1 and unseeded in possible Rounds 3 and 4. Only uncertainty is about round 2. For now we are seeded team, 5 rows above the line and will need to cheer for teams below us to finish at their respective places in order to stay at favored side of the draw. The draw will take place on June 19.
