  1. As you'll know, it is fast approaching the anniversary of the sad passing of Jags and St Johnstone legend Don McVicar to Motor Neurone Disease. In the week of the anniversary of his death, Thistle play St Johnstone in the Scottish Cup. Lets show as much visual and vocal appreciation for The Don, who captained Thistle to promotion to the Premier League and Tennents 6's victory. Get the Tesco bedsheets bought, and get the messages printed on them. Hopefully both supports will come together in a chorus of "One Don McVicar" http://www.heraldscotland.com/sport/spl/aberdeen/football-mourns-death-of-don-mcvicar-1.30267 Skip to 4mins30sec of this for the presentation and interview with The Don: Dave PTFC

  3. hi folks, i'm posting for only the 3rd or 4th time on your forum, but hopefully you can show your support. myself and another jags fan have set up a website to celebrate the 80 year anniversary of the main stand at firhill. at present our board are at a crossroads, unsure whether to knock it down (yes, so we can have a freakin 2 sided stadium!) or refurbish... please visit our site and sign our guest book... www.themainstand.com your support is appreciated. dave johnston
  4. hi folks, i've not been on since the thistle sickness epidemic of last season. and i've not come to say anything other than thanks for a really entertaining night tonight, both teams served up a great game for the neutral, if every nil nil draw was like that scottish football would be great. i thought we dominated for about the first 70 until your guys fitness started to show above ours. i thought rowson and our left winger murray were our best players tonight then another new face, the big lad keegan up front. for you guys hardie was outstanding, he had archibald in his back pocket for most of the night. i'd get mcinness the fck out of there quick smart tho'... he was awful for the whole game, then his actions after the penalties were a disgrace, from what i remember he went straight down the tunnel, not even the slightest notion to clap your travelling support. (210 of you by the way). for a game that had so much end to end football and so many shots, i don't remember that many that were on target, well except for the one tuffey pulled off a great save to put round the post, but we still managed to get a goal kick!!! thought the refereeing was terrible, only 2 bookings the whole match? i don't think you guys are as bad as what you may believe, hopefully it will come good for you, cause god knows i hate dundee and i hate to say it but they are quite a bit ahead of you guys just now, from what i've seen. anyway, best of luck for the rest of the season, i'll be happy for mid table safety and to continue playing entertaining football... it's night and day compared to what we had to endure under the d***.
  5. the guy is a shambles!!! he publically abused players after games, specifically 3 players he didn't bring to the club. his first season at the club, he told us we wouldn't get relegated... we got relegated! in the second division, we had a wage structure on a par with gretna yet finished 4th and got promoted in a game that went to penalties through a deflected goal with the last kick of the game! in all his time there, as a team, i cannot remember us playing entertaining football! i could go on.....
  6. in case none of you guys have seen it before.... it also includes the legend, Don McVicar. check out my other video's too. see don's speech after collecting the trophy. Don McVicar - legend
