  1. That's the first sensible thing you've said on here.

    No.1 ???

Agree. Alan Main. He's pulled over 4 outstanding saves in his last 2 games. Every one of them should have been a goal but for his positioning and agility. Sure, that's his job you may say but he belied his age with these saves. He's the no.1.
  3. 99% sure it was Shields at Stenny and Smith was warming up with Nick Summersgill. Rusty wasin the full kit as well over by the dugouts.
  4. I thought Morais looked really good today. More importantly he looked willing and chased everything. Deuchar was my 2nd choice, if I'd got one, and thought Murray Davidson looked a real prospect too. He'll get better and better. Should really have had Zorro's laddie on the voting list though. His winning penalty for the young Saints lads at HT was just like his old man when he dropped the shoulder to skin the goalie then calmly slot it from a tight angle.
  5. Savo's first v Morton Irvine v Pars Craig v Pars Sheering v Dundee Savo v Dundee They were all great for different reasons but for me it has to be Savo's first v Morton. The football we played was breathtaking and ended with a top class finish. Add the importance of it and it wins for me.
  6. I was in the gowrie when the first 1/4 final was called off at Cappielow and if I remember right we took the bus we had hired to Stirling Albion that day and caused a stir by singing Saints songs while they were playing East Stirling (I think it was them anyway). Have good memories of the 2-2 at Cappielow when it was played and then beating them 3-2 at Muirton. Great days.
  7. Spot on Spoons. I rate Gartland but you can see him and Rusty aren't used to each other. Caff and Rusty however seem to be the best pairing and look a solid together. Nothing silly from either of them today. Both had great games and were complimented by the full backs. Liam got my vote becuase he's been asked to play out of position time and time again and today he stepped up against a very good player in Efram. Hard to believe we've gone a whole season without a regular left back. More credit to the defence for coping with that.
  8. Mines is stuck to my face and has been for about a year, so it's staying!
  9. I did notice Del doing a spot of cheerleading near the end of the game and he got a big response from the fans. I think we've all been here before so it's natural we were a wee bit quiet at times I suppose, but overall it was still pretty good. Hope we can get more of the same next week. It's a long way from the days of 300 at Muirton Park anyway.
  10. Liam Craig was very good at left back and gets my vote. Not a bad performance from anyone in the team today in all honesty. Samuel was ever willing and impressed me also. Moon had a good game too. Midfield was excellent as a unit. Brilliant performance and brilliant result.
  11. I already have one, so that fits in quite well for me and that's a great gesture donating to the club. Let's hope it's a day to remember for us all.
  12. If you read that properly I criticised him for not taking up space to receive a pass and going infield into a crowded midfield instead. To beat a man he'd have to have the ball, which he didn't get because he moved infield. Read it again and you'll see I was referring to his play when he didn't have the ball. I never said a thing about what he did with the ball. Miller's work rate and reaction when he scored in Dumfries would make me pick him ahead of Swankie every time if it was between the two of them.
  13. Good luck to him. At least he's not chucked in the towel so give him some credit. Couldn't care less if he had "Eh Love Dundee, Do Uh?" tattooed on his behind though, to be honest.
  14. In a word - No. I will always back every Saints player, but he has no confidence. I saw him on Sunday moving infield towards opponents insetad of going wide to take up space and get a pass. Much as the sentiments of those who want to give him a fair crack and their complete backing are good (I include myself in that category), this game is too big. We need players willing to thrown themselves into every tackle, take the game to Dundee at every opportunity and give 110% for 90 minutes. Swankie hasn't shown that against Dunfermline or QoS for me. There's too much at stake to play Swankie on Saturday. Chris Miller should be playing instead. At least that's what I think.
