  1. If Saints do stay up, they will have to go what is known as Performance Level, which does mean they will need teams at all these age groups and also find 2 level 4 coaches at each age. A big commitment financially. There are lots of other rules as well , so finance does play a major part. For the lads who have left, the HOY has promised to help find them a club and being a man of his word, I am sure he will.
  2. Conflicting reports all day from all angles on this story. Apparently decision time tonight I hear. A lot of stuff still to be decided yet.
  3. there are also 4 youth cup finals scheduled for Airdrie stadium today and no word yet if postponed
  4. 16's won 3-1 at Elgin, I am sure you will excuse me from posting my thoughts on the g.ame
  5. Brilliant day for the lads well done all round:D:D
  6. I can speak for myself saint and I would say there are lads at all clubs who may or may not be good enough for that particualr club. Wether I think any lad is not good enough is merely an opinion and to come on here with that last nonsense, shows not only do you have a problem with saiints and post some derogatory stuff about the lads and now the last 2 or 3 are aimed at me! Feel free to print what you like- for me they are all good players and some are simply better than others- a fact of life at all clubs. I will say this for the last time and I think you need to read this carefully- it is not about teams and to keep going on about it is not doing anyone any good . What did you think of the game in Manchester today?
  7. I think you are right it is so tedious and certainly my last word. Lang toon , I think your post says it all
  8. I was going to ignore the negative comments but knowing where they come from, I am not in the least surprised and I had to reply. As for the other forum, just like this one, we are all entitled to an opinion but as has been stated many times saint, its about development, not teams and if you believe it is, then there is only one person who is wrong on this. I see you were not prepared to describe the game , the team in detail, now we both know, you were at a different game on Sunday and not Perth, so please stop going on so negatively about these lads as quite a few are doing very well. As for a younger lad coming on- well again thats development and a chance to prove yourself which these boys are doing, much the same as the 16's when they move up to 17's and play in a 19's competition. There is loads of talent in the 3 teams and I am quite sure these boys will take another step on the ladder. I wouldn't think any of our lads looking in on thuis forum will be bothered too much about the negativity as they would laugh it off. My lad has come into the side this year and I know how positive he is about it but on his behalf saint, apologies for making the team worse than last year... not!
  9. A wee bit old to be dribbling over the pitch:roll:
  10. Henry, no feuding, I am only asking for clarity and for saint to be up front, I dont see that being a problem, I would agree the countinual battering of the 16's is tedious and I will follow Soccerchics lead and ignore this bittter person from now on.
  11. so saint, by what you are posting, you seem to hint that you are a parent as you still watch the 16's every week and watched them last year as well. Why not be brave and tell us who you are, or maybe we can do it for you. Its really sad , the line you are taking and obviously short on real football knowledge, but there you go. Care to tell us the set up, subs and who was replaced when and where on Sunday and describe the goals- this will be interesting?
  12. 3-2 to Saints in a game where little football was played. Saints had a few of the younger lads in the squad again and they chipped in with a couple of goals and was the highlight of a poor display today.
  13. 16's at home Sunady, v QOS 1pm .
  14. 16's won 4-1 17's won 4-3
  15. With the big guns back, we could win this game tomorrow. 16's away to Cowdenbeath 11am kick off

Welcome to the SPL and the gutter press Saints- they cant wait to shoot anyone down in this country who is seen as successful.
  17. Keeping in mind, the 17's are playing in an under 19's tournament and the squad had 6 under 16's in the squad for the Pars game, this is even more of an indication of what is right at Saints and all the scare mongering is nothing more than sour grapes. Well done lads in a game we could and should have won.

I have watched this lad from a young age and was flabbersgasted he was allowed tot leave Celtic, still young and can only get better, well done wee man.
  19. Saints should have won the game after going 2-0 up very early but Dunfermline kept coming back each time when going behind.
  20. Whatever mr s but as said its not about teams - again its individual development and as for the lads that are up f/t this week not being better than others, well everyone is entitled to an opinion yours is just different from my opinion and the coaching staff. I could not care less about the team thing as at this level its not important. You do seem to have a thing going on and dont know why. Who in your opinion played well last week then? You say "boys" who were released recently- I dont think plural comes into it. As for real players- who are they? You seem to make a lot of statements but dont back it up- here is your chance.
  21. It is a shame that you cant put a report on a game without this nonsense.
  22. For your info mr s , the pitch was poor for both teams as stated on original post and if and its a big if, you were at the game then it was obvious to anyone who knows a little about football, that both teams had to bang high balls over the top due to the surface being inadequate for this level of football. I even hear Alloa have now refused via SFA to play in this pitch along with pitches at QOS and Elgin. If you were actually at the game and I know you were not, then for you to say Stranraer played well on it is way off the mark. Excuses were made for both teams- if you had taken time to read my post and as far as "teams" are concerned, that is of absolutely no concern as its about individual development and that it seems is lost on you somewhat as some of these 16's lads are in full time this week with a chance of a f/t contract so things cant be as bad as you are tryng to make out. Some of these lads played against Hamilton who are a performance level side and by all accounts they did very well, so I will ignore your take on the 16's for now mr s. You seem to have an axe to grind and its quite wearing and childish. As for playing "poorly" can you point out where I made that statement as the lads stuck to their task very well and were unlucky not to score a few more goals - these things happen in football.
