  1. Peter Vardy Thats a good shout. They're notorious for spending money on advertising. One of their salesman told me that 'The Hulk' was a Polish national who got paid with Vodka. Erm... not sure if he was telling me the truth. I hope its not Arnold Clark they ripped me off big time!
  2. Ah ok. Didn't know that site existed. Good luck lads, enjoy your day.
  3. I agree that GB should have acted sooner but he's already said that he needs to know the position with Setanta before he can offer Del the very best of offers. Remember GB is the guy we are all raving about considering the clubs current financial position so maybe to criticise him right now isn't appropriate just yet. Wait and see.
  4. 'that 4-3-3 carry on', as you put it, is recognised as a proven system depending on the staff involved using it. The better the players (staff) the more systems they can adapt to week in week out as appropriate. As for doubting his abilities, I think thats harsh. He hasn't worked as manager with a team with satisfactory resources to prove his abilities, i.e. funds, players and facilities which we certainly have!
  5. Me neither but Sandy Stewart fell into the same category and he's done very well. Our most successful manager ever, statistically, any chance he'd fancy another crack at the managerial whip, doubt he'd leave EPL though.
  6. Agreed I'd love to keep him here and I still think we will. If it was anyone other than WBA I'd be 99% certain but since its them I'm only 51% certain. As for a replacement there isn't really anyone from within the club now that fits the bill so from outside the club maybe, Michael O'Neill. Whether he leaves Ireland though remains to be seen too. Is it beyind the realms of possibility that Sturrock might contemplate a return North nearing the end of his career since his health isn't getting any better? I think he'd certainly keep us stable and in the SPL.
  7. I think that is very admirable of Richard and if funds are short I'd be happy to put a fiver into the kitty... Is he the first aider?
  8. Tore Andre Flo? I would doubt it but I doubted the Jody Morris thing. I saw him on tv a few times last season, he was pants. I agree a trial may be worth a shot. It may cost us very little and SPL would appeal to him, I've no doubt about it.
  9. Yes I'm trying but it aint easy. Gav thanks for the generous comments but we all know what really happened Well done to you all. I thought even after the first one went in we'd come back and get something but it wasn't to be. I have to say I thought all the defence were absolutely solid before and after Shaun went off (Hope the knee's ok Shaun) Andy in particular, 'Superb' mate. Forwards were really unlucky not to get something and the whole midfield worked so hard I faulted no-one, even Richard for giving the ref' a hard time. Well done lads I'm sure a return to winning form is on the cards as soon as the next game... Cant Wait ... as long as I'm not in goal!
  10. Yeah but their football is much more appealing to watch. Even when its on TV the stadiums are still full!
  11. Yeah I didn't want to comment on what I wasn't sure of but a total of 25 million a year - to be reduced - Isn't really a lot for anyone outwith OF. Although it'd be enough for us just now if we need to push the finances to get up the SPL, it'll not do very much.
  12. Dont remember that but knowing Dons' demeanour... You're absolutely right.
  13. Now we cant say we didn't see that coming? Mixu was always on a sticky wicket there. Nobody suggesting Billy Reid or Ian McCall for any of these positions. Any thoughts?
  14. Bad I remember being at Celtic Park on my 21st birthday when that fanny Lubomir Moravcik scored against Alan Main from the corner flag right in front of me! b****** looked straight at me too. I wanted to punch his puss there and then:evil:... Lubomir of course
  15. I must be very uninformed... WHO THE FUC# ARE THEY ... and before anyone suggests it, I know it was a piss take
  16. Del will defo stay put for now. No way will an English Prem club come knocking for him too much of a gamble. It would be Championship at best. It would also be a mistake for him to go sideways or backwards to another SPL team. Saints are on the up with lots of momentum. Aberdeen are the only team he could realistically be linked with, not even WBA They've got a huge parachute payment to get them back up and if Mowbray goes that'll be used towards a big name like Alan Curbishley, but I think even Aberdeen need an experienced manager. I'm tipping Ian McCall for that one. Peanut for manager? I dont think so. He's definately clever and tactically aware enough but I think he's far from a suitable candidate at the moment. Needs another season coaching and a No2 position first. To be honest I think he's too soft right now! Billy Dodds? You're havin a giraffe! He's another one without enough coaching experience although he might do OK for a lower league team, I think he'd have a short managerial career. Likes the cameras too much these days. Doc? I think he'll stay with Del wherever he goes. McInnes on his own wouldn't make a successful team he needed/needs Tony Docherty too! Jody Morris? I just dont see him as the manager type, more of a pundit I think. ...IM(Humble)O
  17. Personally I dont care who we get as long as they pay us plenty cash and dont promote anything in Dundee, i.e. The Evening Tele' or DC Thomson or Marr Builders!!!!!!!!!
  18. ONLY IN THE MINDS OF POLITICIANS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. I'm not down for one of those. Is that because we all know I'd fail anyway?
  20. I'm inclined to agree. I doubt he feels anything towards us - ungrateful fuc#er
  21. Dont see why not. We're on our way to having the squad for it. The rest of the teams are losing their good players so far with little sign of others coming in. I think Europe, one way or another, will be a distinct possibility.
  22. I heard Coisty was an outsider for the job at Parkhead
