  1. Am wi SLF on this. Ah thae political twats gettn on my mummeries noo. GTK
  2. Flights beginning to get scary expensive now! Visa card going to take a severe pounding getting there never mind the cost of few days on the sauce when I get there! Think Switzerland budget is smashed. Sure to be a good trip tho!!!! COYS
  3. Don`t remember a caravan at Ice Rink End, only the Ice Cream Van from the famous incident back in 83
  4. Nae luck Seannachie. I must just have beaten ye to them Ordered mine last Thursday and they arrived today!!!!
  5. Got hazy recollections of Vaasa but seem to remember local paper noting that our anthem was ``stand up if you hate Dundee''
  6. They don`t write them like that anymore! one of my all time favourites.
  7. Dear Auntie Ancient I have a big problem. Mrs BB says she`s going to b*gger off unless I give her as much love as SJFC. Fair enough, she can go, but who`s going to look after the dog when I`m following the Saints? Big dilemma
  8. Aye Hoodlum, they are indeed a strange breed! we even asked if my missus wanted to come on a European trip but even the thought of her visiting a foreign city with us Saintees was enough to put her in a rage! Strange, strange breed!!!!!
  9. Sweet Caroline! Never liked the song before but was finally won over at Cup Final. Still like watching the clip when TW tries to sing it with 15000 Saintees. At least the song`s not an Old Firm rip-off. Always hated when Saintees sang ``Hail, Hail, The Saints are here`` or ``Hullo, Hullo We are the Muirton Boys''.
  10. Essex I know how you feel when you say the missus is turning anti football. Mine absolutely detests the game and I`ve really been able to p*ss her off the last few weeks. She can`t understand how I got so excited about Saints winning the cup! I don`t even try to explain to her - if you need an explanation you can`t be a Saintee!
  11. Liam did a great job for us. But that was then and this is now. He would make a decent squad player now but I`d prefer to see some of our young players step up to the plate should any of our regulars be out injured/suspended.
  12. Wish Mrs. Hills was with me when I was taking smacks to the head in the 70`s at places like Tynecastle
  13. Wow, what a topic! Athens is right about needing parental support when we young. Only now that I`m old and grey do I appreciate the financial sacrifice she made to send me and bro to Muirton. I was proud as could be when she came to Victory Parade on Sunday and was joyously waving her foam Saintees hand and showing off her COYS sticker on her bag. Big cheer for Saintees mums everywhere
  14. Still on this amazing high! Loving reading fellow saintees stories and realising exactly how much the club means to everyone, whether you make every game or not. Glad I made the effort to meet up and travel with the guys I first met way back in the 70`s when we left from Barossa Street. The sight of so many 50 and 60 year old men greetn like bairns will stay with me forever! Sunday incredible too - has the city centre ever seen so many people? what a weekend! Best ever! (with apologies to my kids)
  15. Has been brilliant reading about all you guys making it home for 17 May. So pleased for everyone that it turned out to be a special weekend.
  16. Certainly feel Geoff deserves to be honoured. Think he would appreciate it more from the fans (he is after all one of us) rather than from the halfwits at the council. The Council never seemed to help the Club when help was needed and you only ever hear from them when things are good. (and the Good Times never felt so good)!!!!!
