  1. I thought the ref was very poor too. Seemed to think that Sunday morning meant he had to give everyone an interminable sermon...
  2. I'd love to know why Hearts show above Saints in the league when we are same points, same goal difference bu Saints have played a game less! Bloody alphabet!
  3. My mate and I did almost the same thing in 1979. At least we took them back to Stanley. They must have done it every week!
  4. St Mirren 1 St Johnstone 3 Sandaza 3125
  5. I reckon Del has a pretty decent record with the more firey player. Bookings for dissent since he took over seem way down on past years and several of those who have arrived following problems at previous clubs seem like reformed characters. Maybe it's my imagination, but I don't think so...
  6. 1 Celtic 2 Rangers 3 Hearts 4 Motherwell 5 Kilmarnock 6 Dundee Utd 7 Aberdeen 8 St Johnstone 9 St Mirren 10 Hibs 11 Dunfermline 12 Inverness CT
  7. Remeber Buck McCarry ripping Bobby Clark's shirt right off him. Bobby jumped to get the cross, Buck couldnae be arsed and just held on a bit. He argued with the ref that it wasn't him. Pity he was still holding the remains of the jersey. Could have been the same game that Jim Donaldson was sent off for a cracking two fisted punch on a winger - on the wing! He had to run about 35 yards out of his goal to get him.
  8. Budden wasn't over-rated or under-rated. He just wasn't rated...
  9. I'd have to agree about Muir, although he seemed to me to do all his scoring in August and September then fade away.
  10. Oh dear the pishometer has shot off the scale again...
  11. I wouldn't discount that quite so easily...
  12. That could well be right - I remember being at the match with a friend I didn't usually go to the football with - and it was in his house in Craigie that I heard about the disaster.
  13. No - this one was definately against Aberdeen. It was at the time that Bobby Clark hadn't lost a goal for months. I recall Buck McCarry protesting to the ref about being booked for holding Clark's jersey when they both went for a cross until the ref pointed out McCarry still had a fair proportion of the remains of the jersey in his hand! Clark had a red Aberdeen strip under his yellow goalie jersey and proceedings were halted while both teams searched about for a replacement jersey!
  14. Could it be sitting on the ball two days after the league announced you would be booked for doing it? Or perhaps a two fisted punch to the head of an Aberdeen striker who had the temerity to advance up the wing - Donaldson ran out to the wing to make sure he got him... I thought it was Jim Forrest he punched - but Jim Masson tells me it was someone else I don't recall now. It was a very long time ago!
