  1. For me his time was up after Kelty but totally agree with Redford, he needs to go, today if possible, two weeks til our next game, give someone new that time with the players.

Callums been a magnificent servant to the club and will go down in history but right now he s moving us backwards.

I m fed up of folk saying, who could replace him, who would do better, I d take our chances that right now just about any manager could do better.

5 games left, all games we COULD win, 2 wins would leave Dundee needing 4 to get above us, 4 wins would probably see us catch St Mirren or Aberdeen, putting a team out to try and get a draw and maybe sneak a win is no good, we need to go for every single game now and I have no faith at all that Callum will do this.

Liam Craig who would fight for everything and who I d want in my team for this battle doesn’t seem to even get in the squad ( I ve never heard he’s injured) , even as a sub I feel he d have an impact.  I have no idea if he d even want the job but is getting rid of Callum and giving Liam it til the end of season as interim manager  a ridiculous idea ? He could nt possibly do any worse and we can review who the next manager is at end of season.

I have a horrible feeling though that replacing him isn’t even being considered and that he ll be here next year regardless, I fear where that leads us, surely someone must be looking at the money that’s been wasted on new players who don’t even play, even if poor results aren’t a reason he goes, the fact he s the first manager in years to be allowed to buy players just to not then use them is.

  2. I ve a vague memory of being given a polo shirt on the bus to Monaco run by Kelvin Travel, don’t think it was to do with game though, it was for a previous trip they d organised which hadn’t went ahead as they didn’t get tickets, a Scotland game maybe ?

  3. Was at the game, didn’t shout or boo players at the end but not condemning those that did. The players though should never have been put in that position of having to walk through the fans, it was obvious before the game that it would be a huge problem if we lost. There should have been a back up plan in place, even just taking the players into a huddle in the dugout for five mins to allow the fans to leave.

Sure earlier in the thread someone claimed Kelty are sustainable and not just another Gretna, I d disagree, it’s a village team with very little potential for growth given the size of Kelty, sure a local business has propped them up by half a million, no way they can afford the players and managers they ve had any other way. Where Kelty were very clever is by jumping the gun on everyone else and turning the one of the first junior clubs to turn senior, this meant they won the East of Scotland league at a canter, something that would have been more difficult to do by the following year. They look like going up again but as we saw yesterday, ground isn’t really fit for that number of fans, ok as a one off but there were people falling on muddy grass banks etc.

It would be fun, but it would take out 3 top division match days - where would you put them?

Probably loads of reasons this wouldn’t work but how about instead of top 6 you had top 4, middle 4 and bottom 4, middle 4 playing off for a European place or something, that would take 2 games away.

The top teams would never want an all in draw anyway nor would the sponsors for fear Rangers v Celtic came out first round.

I bet every fan who regularly goes to games would love it though, this year, doesn’t matter if it’s Kelty or Montrose, I imagine it will need to be all ticket and we ll sell it out.

Squeezed past Kelty last year on our way to the League Cup.

Isn't it about time they just threw everyone in at the first round? Think it would be far more exciting.

I’ve been saying this for a couple of years after watching Jeanfields early rounds of Scottish Cup, I think everyone being in Cup from the start is something fans would love.

The early rounds bring some really good away games, every year you  could see a smaller team get through to later rounds with luck of the draw, great chance for teams lower down leagues to make some money as well.

There was probably as many Saints fans at Annan watching Jeanfield as went to Parkhead same day which just shows the enthusiasm is there.

Imagine first round of Cup, Gretna 2008 away, getting it right round those bastards

  6. Are you talking about the game on 18 Dec ?

I imagine we d get the South Stand which is normally for away fans, I have been there when we ve been given a section of Main stand though.

With it being in future I doubt anyones decided for defo yet.

    I wouldn’t imagine getting a ticket bing a problem.

If it is the game 18th your talking about, hopefully the Motherwell games rescheduled and instead your going to Hampden for league Cup Final the next day.

  7. I work some Saturdays so buy my season ticket in the knowledge it doesn’t necessarily make financial sense but want one for the convenience of it plus I know the people sitting round about me which is part of it.

With the card system I d hoped we d simply go online and pay and the game activated on your card, clearly not as clever as that.

I d happily at start of season tick a box that said they could take Cup games payment from me by Direct Debit, I imagine most season tickets would do the same if it was available . I always bought the Cup top up until they stopped doing them.

Problem appears to be a poor system and lack of staff.

I got tickets can’t help but think we were asked to back the club and did but they don’t seem to value us.

Hopefully be all sorted for the Group games.

  8. Maybe because of the issues to system but I thought they d have put tickets for next Thursday on sale before the game tonight, just in case, hopefully won’t happen but a   defeat by a few goals tonight is bound to impact ticket sales for next weeks game.

  9. Enjoyable day out, good to be back at an away game.

Think we re in danger of going down the Celtic / Rangers fans route here of we thinking  we didn’t win just because we think our players didn’t perform as well as they might, Ross County did exactly what they were set up to do.

I thought Ross County were happy with a draw particularly in second half and used game management very well, something we also did under Tommy , their fans seemed happy to have got the draw at the end of the game which is really a compliment to how far our team has come.

Had we scored the pen or if Liams effort had nt hit the post late on and sneaked in we d all be happy, didn’t see anything to cause concern this won’t be another good season.

I wonder if anyone that's not got their ticket yet has been successful in the ballot or is it only those that have received their ticket that were entered in the ballot.

I haven’t received season ticket yet but did get email saying successful in ballot.

  11. As far as I can see Celtic are only allowing their own season tickets access to this game, it’s not live on tv either.

Saints website confirms our fans only have live commentary.

There will be ways to watch it via overseas links but nothing official that allows our fans to watch the game which I m not sure how the league can allow.

I know financially it would be madness for Saints to do but imagine the outrage if Celtic needed a win in Perth to win the league and we only allowed our own season tickets either in or to watch online.

  12. I have connections to Brora as my wife’s family live there and go to watch them when up there so see them a few times each year.

The Brora not wanting to come up and throwing the game against Montrose is a bit of a myth that’s grown over the years.

What is true is that in the build up the Brora chairman did express concerns as to how it would work for the club to be in the Scottish league with the traveling involved and extra costs, also the small size of their support. They went into the games giving it a good go though.

When Brora played Kilmarnock in the cup there were 400 fans in the Away end at Rugby Park, that equates to a third of the village.

They didn’t forfeit or throw the game against Montrose, I was as all the games, they played Edinburgh City and beat them over two legs.

They beat Montrose in Brora but in the second leg with the score at 1-1 they had their best player and captain Steven MacKay sent off around half time.

Montrose did score two late goals but not because Brora threw it, it was two late goals scored against a tired 10 men playing  a fourth tough game in a short period of time.

Having seen how well Cove have done I think Brora now most definitely want promotion, a play off with Kelty would have been very close, I think both teams would have won their home games with whichever team who won beating Brechin, We ll never know though.

The team back when they played Montrose had a lot of older ex Inverness and Ross County players, now Steven MacKay is the manager and they have a younger team.

Not sure what the play off situation is at end of this year, Lowland league are aiming to play full season whereas Highland league are playing a shortened season so possibly the Highland league winners could be fresher for play offs.

  13. Agree a lot of the games so far have not been good to watch.

I think this becomes more obvious when watched on tv and no crowd as there is nothing to distract from the poor game.

The longer games are played this way I wonder if the pressure to have a more entertaining style will rise.

I d be interested to know what figures look like for purchasing these games.

I imagine low 100s for non season ticket purchases but could be wrong.

  14. Anyone buy the programme and if so have you got it ?

I m not finding Curtis Sport great at all, bought the annual subscription, got Aberdeen programme ok but since then nothing.

No Hibs programme yet and no programme for today, they blame Saints for getting content to them last minute but that doesn’t hold true if others are getting.
