  1. Enjoy the success, I'm genuinely delighted for the Saints in the circumstances. However, the Dons were comfortably clear in second spot, this clinched 5 weeks back. Of course it'll be great banter for the Saintees winding up dandies that they might work with tommorow but I reckon that oor fans winna be too bothered about this one. DABS oota Europe (again) . Very weakened Dons side with a 16 year old coming on as sub & several youngsters & a boy that's signed for St Js, for goodness sake No Logan, Flood, McLean, Jack, Rooney. We aren't brilliant but the table doesn't lie, I'm sure you'll all agree wi'that tonight.

As I said great result for Saints and potentially an even better outcome. Easier to give praise to your own team than to diss the opponents.

Best of luck wi' the Euro quest. Real fondness for the Saintees having spent most of the "Ormond years" in Perth. Always happy when they win unless it's against the Dons but a slight exception to that today.

I don't think anyone has suggested that the win was against a full strength Aberdeen side! We knew we needed to win and we beat what was put in front of us! You won't hear any saints fans noising up the dons, we're too busy nosing up the Arabs, haha! :)

  2. What a bloody cracking day out! :)

Left the house at 8am to get up to Perth in time for the bus leaving! Good crack on the bus and a few drinks on the way up! Managed to find a boozer not far from the ground, arrive at the stadium bang on 12.30pm with still a large queue outside - genuinely couldn't believe we took 1277, thought 700 or so was our best hope! Some good exchanges between us and the aberdeen fans through the segregation fence - terrific buzz when Kano scored to top off another exceptional season! Agree with others it was a shambles in terms of stewarding, they wonder why people lose the head! For once we actually won and they allowed is to sit down the front after we removed the tape!

In terms of the match, it wasn't great, Aberdeen were poor which wasnt surprising, thought Muzz was outstanding again and was my clear man of the match followed by Sir Tommy Wright of Perth for making his subs early, finally the fans! Words can't describe how good it feels to see a packed and noisy away end!

All eyes on Hampden now, Falkirk must be a bit hacked off at constantly hearing the if "ICT win the cup" chat and I'm sure they will use that as an incentive given everyone seems to think cally will win it ( I hope they do :) - a potential 4th consecutive European campaign is ridiculous - over to our friends join Inverness now

All in all a tremendous effort from everyone - it's all very quiet in Dundee at the moment, a few United fans seen approaching the deep end of the Tay bridge, haha!

We are Perth St Johnstone :)

  3. Saints now at least trying to sort out a third bus.... Shouldda been a no brainer as soon as we knew the United score on Saturday.

Correct, as usual we are too slow react!

The club recently have done a fantastic job promoting the club and matches via social media, I'd don't recall seeing anything for the match on Sunday though! There has however been 100's of social media messages regarding the one year anniversary of the Scottish cup win, surely a " your team needs you" "buses running from Mcdiarmid to Aberdeen" should have been posted!

  4. If it was a Saturday 3pm I'd expect 1500, as it's early on a Sunday, 600-800.

I'm hopeless at predicting crowds though.

Even if the match was being played on a Saturday, we'd probably still only manage 800! Given it's a Sunday and some fans get nosebleeds if they leave Tayaide I reckon 600-700 is a more realistic number! :)

  5. ********Calling all west of Scotland saints fans ******

Due to the p@sh KO time its not logistically possible for me to get to Perth from Glasgow for 9.10am to jump on the barrosa street bus!

Are there any saints fans from the Glasgow area driving to the game who'd be in Perth for 9am thus allowing me to join the rest of my crew on the barossa bus?

    Many thanks :)

  10. When you look back at the chances we missed, bar the woodwork being hit, MOH has probably has had our best chances over the last few games, he's lashed at all of them! I like him as a player but I'm tempted to turn up at Stirling uni next week and pull him aside, give him tub of composure from B&Q then show him that sometimes

It's better to place a shot rather than try and burst the net every time!

  11. Not sure my hear could have taken anymore

Tremendous performance, the story of our season though, couldn't put the ball in the net! 31 attempts on goals, woodwork hit twice, two cleared off the line, a number of good saves, MOH AGAIN missed two glaring chances! Honestly if that boy had some composure and side footed some of his shots we'd be 3rd in the league!

Would have taken a point before the game but felt Celtic wee there for the taking tonight! Muzz is back to what he is capable off and had a terrific match as did most the boys! Spoony had a better game, some great skill from him as we know he can, just the final ball let him down!

For all our great play Celtic could have nicked it but only down to our misfortune of hitting the woodwork!

    Massive game next week!

Info worry that ICT will have an eye on the final and United will nick a win!

Celtic fans very complimentary of us tonighh on social medi, without doubt the toughest team they've played this season, the fact they've not scores in their last two games against us probably helps!

One game left and still a chance of Europe - considering its been a bit of a funny season it's a terrific achievement

Let's all get up to Aberdeen next week and back the team!

  12. Probably the weakest United side to have visited us in many a year , other than the turk, there wasn't anyone to fear!

Chris Miller was tremendous yet again, he very rarely does much wrong these days! Agree with other that muzz is getting better and that's the best game I've seen him play for a long time!

Glad Wright made the right decision and took McLean off, albeit it looked as if MOH was coming off hence the ring of boo's!

I wonder what nonsense JMc will come out with

  13. 1500 United fans 3300 saints fans

800 more saints fans than last week but given the importance of the game and the push the club made to try and get as many to attend, it was disappointing from both sides
