Crowds are low compared to some teams and years ago, but am I right in saying they are up on last year?
You have to remember that we are in really the first recession of the modern football era and regular football attendance is beyond a lot of fans. I suspect that folk go when they can.
It would be interesting to see stats on the number of different individuals who go to see saints over a season. I would guess that it is on par to what it was in the past, just that folk go to less games than before and hence weekly attendances down.
Hats off to lomas and the team, they are doing their bit.

Simple victory yet again from the Saintees

First half was a tight affair. We seemed determined all over the pitch but Gary Harkins was single handedly keeping his team in touch, can't really remember much happening that half apart from a few half chances and the goal. Anderson won a header which the keeper (Bell?) somehow spilled and Muzz got his toe there first to poke home.

Second half we started slowly with Kilmarnock dominating possession but we never really looked bothered, the fact we've become such a good counter attacking team means we can relieve the pressure when we get the ball. Credit to Kenny Sheils for going for it and I'm sure Killie ended up with 4 forwards on the pitch and the right back seemed like a winger We ripped the backline apart though and the goal was a long time coming. Tade should've shot but decided to cross for Hasselbaink who wasn't expecting it and knocked it out with his knee, then Hasselbaink should've passed but shot and the ball went out..... Then finally Hasselbaink got a well deserved goal. Still not sure why St Mirren let him go considering how well he's playing, if Steve Lomas has managed to change his attitude in 4 months and the St Mirren coaches couldn't in however long he was there then Lomas must be a better manager than we all realise (Or St Mirrens caoches aren't any good?)....

Just as we started singing the "We are unbeatable" song the heads switched off and Killie got a scrappy deflected goal after a brillinat run from their right back

All in all I was impressed again, can only hope Gary Miller going off was tactical and not an injury as he's become a fabulous right back. While Paddy Cregg will have a hard time breaking back into the squad never mind the starting line up, as will Calum Davidson and Peter Pawlett and Steven MacLean and Craig Beattie

It was over the top to write SL off after the poor start to the season just as it is over the top to say he is the greatest thing since sliced bread now. The next few games will give us a better idea. A bit lucky today but with the excuse of injuries. The next three games against teams we want to beat to get a European spot again will give us a better idea. Personally seven points out of nine will go a long way to convince me.that he is the one.
