  1. Has everyone got their email with the tickets? Ordered mine at 10.30 this morning but nothing yet…
  2. I also have a spare ticket, behind the goal. Let me know by 10am tomorrow if you're interested.
  3. Give the lad a break. I agree he isn't the best player, but we've been in this division longer than I care to remember and he is the 2nd best target man we've had in that time. And I can't remember us conceding a single goal from a set-piece while he is on the park. FFS, some people are starting to sound like the "Roddy's too slow" brigade - if he was quick, he would have been no-where near McD. If Homer scored 20 a season, we wouldn't have been close to signing him! Of our other options, Savo is our best goalscorer but his link play is poor. I'd be really worried about playing him + AN Other unless the AN Other was a big lad - which is why Homer should stay in the team. That's why Del didn't start Savo + Barrett on Saturday and that's why he shouldn't start them tomorrow.
  4. Oddly enough, all these players played in the two best saints teams I can remember. But only Roddy played in both. Main Treanor Kernaghan Baltacha McVicar Moore Dasovic Kane Preston Grant Wright Subs: Balavage, Davidson, Simao, Scotland, O'Neil Honourable mentions to Weir, Lowndes, Jenkinson, Maskrey and Heddle
  5. Does anyone know anyone who winges more than Jocky Scott? Every day I check the Evening Telly website and he's moaning about something - weather, referees, pitches, yesterday it was that there was only one full time team below division 1! How many would you like Jocky? My personal favourite though was when he was complaining that their game at Ross County was called off at 1 o'clock on the Friday when it could have been called off at 11 o'clock. I mean, what fecking difference would that make?? Even accepting his manager of the month award, he still manages to find something to moan about! http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/d/dundee/7926297.stm
  6. "Dundee game" was still a well-known phrase used to describe a kick-about ruined by rampant over-use of the backpass in my youth (late 80s - early 90s). Never understood what it meant until now...
  7. Now Collin Samuel has signed, I reckon we're going to be a few players over the 19 man squad that Del has been talking about. I make it 21 first team players by the time we sign a new Goalkeeper, Left Back and the much fabled Target Man we've been after since Roddy retired. Someone's bound to ask, so the 21 are 1 Main 2 Irvine 3 Anderson 4 James 5 Rutki 6 McCaffrey 7 Sheerin 8 Craig 9 Morris (if he signs) 10 Hardie 11 Millar 12 Moon 13 Swankie 14 Weatherson 15 Peaso 16 Savo 17 Jackson 18 Samuel plus the three above. I reckon that means Del will be trying to move some players on, but given he's signed or re-signed most of the current squad it doesn't leave many candidates. Does anyone else think James (injuries), Weatherson (form) or even Savo (Samuel is a fairly similar) could be on their way?
  8. COME ON THE SAINTS!!! Let's win this one.
  9. 1.Saints 2.Hamilton 3.Dunfermline 4.Morton 5.dundee 6.Queen of the South 7.Livingston 8.Partick Thistle 9.Clyde 10.Stirling Albion
  10. Can't see it happenning. Dundee Utd did offer him a contract but he rejected it because it was less than he was getting before. Can't see us matching their corner shop money
  11. we're white, we're blue, we're... oh shit that doesn't rhyme we play in blue, not white! prefer to go back to the mid 90s tartan strip - that was class still, if we win the league next year it will become a classic...
