  1. Article i read said Murray was delaying publishing his company's accounts for 6 mths to hide the fact that he didn't have the funds to cover the club's £30m debts. If true then the club should be classed as technically insolvent surely. The new guy on the board is someone the bank uses to deal with businesses that are in financial difficulties. The club also denied that there is a consortium ready to buy the club.....therefore it looks like Rangers are BUST!
  2. Del admitted the players were gutted after not taking anything from last week's game against the Gers. Maybe today's performance was a hangover from that. After all if you're outplaying teams every week but not getting the results it must have an impact on morale/confidence sooner or later. If you can't win when you're playing well what happens when you hit a bad patch? The performance & attitude vs Dundee U will be interesting. Sat's game vs Falkirk will be a biggie esp as Falkirk apparently played much better today.
  3. Irvine took a gamble by signing a 1 yr deal i think cos he thought he'd make an impact in the SPL then move on to a bigger club. If so it hasn't paid off so far as i agree with SaintSam1884 that Mackay is a better defender.

    Hatred....

P*ssed myself laughing at the Gers thrashing by Unirea last night. EPL? You're having a laugh!
  5. Surely every player wants to play at a higher level. Davidson & Mackay, for example, moved to Saints cos they were getting the chance to play in the SPL & better wages. I'm sure Morris is interested in playing at a bigger club & why not? Remember Kieran McAnespie who scored a couple of goals against the Gers & managed to get a transfer to Fulham on £6k a week. Spent his time in the reserves then came back up north & has failed to make an impact at various teams inc. a 6 mth loan spell at Saints. Momo Sylla was the same, had a great game against Celtic who came for him soon after & again spent most of his 3 yrs there in the reserves. Both players left us for bigger clubs when they got the chance & despite what happened i'm sure neither regretted it.
  6. Sammy for me but the defence esp Ando & Gartland were excellent & Miller played well also. The fact the Gers support were pretty quiet for long periods said a lot about our performance. BTW, what about the Perth Loyal banner that was unfurled at half time? - pathetic t*****s!
  7. GB was right about Gretna, Livingston, Motherwell & the Marrs at Dundee yet at the time much of the media accused him of sour grapes & being a tight ****. It was totally unsustainable spending at all those clubs & it was no surprise when they went bust. It seems that Mileson didn't give a toss for his family either leaving them in that mess. Dundee of course now have a new sugar daddy (who's a self-confessed Aberdeen fan) but whether he sticks by them for long is another question.
  8. Noticed Peaso in today's papers said he was fortunate unlike most people to be doing a job he enjoyed & to be paid for playing his hobby. I made this point a few months ago about pro footballers & was slaughtered for it! Well there's a player saying so & he won't exactly be earning mega bucks like Rooney or Ronaldo.
  9. Saw Rusty today, asked if fit to play replied "i'm getting there". Nice guy though.
  10. Well the 2nd goal = long throw, Wilkie headed it on, Webster(?) scored. Too easy!
  11. Levein played Wilkie up front cos he thought our defence is weak in the air. His height did play a big part in the 2nd goal. Dinky is definitely stronger in the air than McCaff or Gartland IMO & once fit i think he'll come back into the side but agree that the midfield have to provide more defensive cover.
  12. As has already been said, all the games at McD this season have been crackers & you can't criticise a team for playing attacking football. However as Del has said we're conceding too many goals, a significant number in the 'soft' category. If the midfield could just give the defence a bit more protection i'd be happier.
  13. Agree, Deuchar struggled to make any impact & Sammy seems to prefer playing through the centre. Was Savo injured? - not even a sub.
  14. I thought Harkins was the wonder boy who could do no wrong?
  15. Good draw, gives us a decent chance of reaching the semis.
  16. Good idea if we could pull it of, however as he lives in the west i think he'll be hoping 1 of the OF come for him. Said he's enjoying it here & is good pals with Del but didn't hint that he was looking for a new deal. I think he wants 1 more shot at a big club.
  17. After losing goal in the 1st 40 odd seconds, it was great to see the heads didn't go down (esp after what happened on Sat) & we came back to score 3 great goals. Given that Swankie & Anderson came in due to injuries, Dinky & Peaso haven't had a chance to play yet & Sammy stayed on the bench it shows we have quite a good squad for competing at this level. Looking forward to the United game.
  18. If we'd taken half our chances we'd have won comfortably & everyone (apart from 101) would've been satisfied with Del's tactics. He can hardly be held accountable for our poor finishing & he did try to rectify that by bringing on Savo & Deuchar who also missed clear chances. The defence were also pretty poor. Perhaps Dinky & Peaso will get their opportunity sooner than they thouught once they're fit.
  19. Well considering they said Hibs were totally outplayed i'm sure they did.
  20. I think Savo, Deuchar & Sammy are all capable but like all strikers they get more confident once the ball starts hitting the back of the net. Given the chances we're creating hopefully that'll be soon! We'll have to tighten up at the back as well though as we've conceded more than any other team in the league.
  21. 1 Sunday paper (the Post i think) picked out Craig, Davidson & Hardie as Saints best players against Hibs although it went on to say Craig missed 1 of our best chances (the header from about 6 yards).
  22. Neither, Dinky will have to wait for his chance like everyone else.
  23. Del said in today's PA Sheerin was picked cos of his performance against Forfar & his attitude in training. Perhaps making a point to others, eg. Craig?
  24. Unfortunately it appears we couldn't meet his wage demands.
  25. Well that maybe right but i'm just repeating what was said.
