  1. Why not consider an apartment like this http://www.perth-holiday-apartments.co.uk/ I run Serviced Apartments in Sheffield and Leeds and would always recommend them over a hotel for space and flexibility. We even get a few loan football players staying with us now and again
  2. 3-1 Hibs, ref talking to McInnes, but not been sent to stands...yet! sounds like penalty was dubious
  3. Ha, glad you enjoyed it, my link went down just before the 1st goal, then my broadband went! Finally got connected in time to see the 2nd. Sants looked comfortable, and Hearts never really looked like scoring. The difference for me now, is that saints appear to be able to produce goals out of nowhere, with Sandaza and Sheridan.

  5. I'm getting it here at mo http://www.vipbox.tv/watch/4838/1/st-johnstone---hearts.html
  6. Had just found out I was pregnant a couple of weeks prior to going. Was never going to keep that secret.... how come you're not drinking.....I was probably the only sober person at the game... well ok, I might have had a couple of glasses of vino prior to game... but I promise it was only a couple:wink: Said baby just started secondary school today... where did those years go?
  7. Aparently it's quite common down our way now for dogs to be stolen Then the owners mysteriously get a phone call saying they know where there dog is and it will be returned for a reward of £500. The words 'travelling community' were also mentioned in the converstion I had about this, but I obviously have no evidence to substantiate this.
  8. Obviously cost is a huge consideration. However, would it still be the case if Saints were in the top 4 of the SPL, regularly beating the Old Firm and were entertaining to watch? Wouldn't you find the money, because you wanted to be part of something great?
  9. Finally managed to try the take away at Odesi this evening and it was all delicious. Best Indian we've had in Perth, ever. by far. A bonus was seeing Dr CJ too. nice to see you mate!
  10. Ha! There are many places in the world that I would like to move to. Ibrox is most definately not one of them.
  11. We left Perth at 11.45am, apparently the flash floods started at 12.30pm. Now I'm not saying we're jinxed, but in the last 11 months, political riots in the middle east, tsunami in Japan, earthquake in NZ and a volcano eruption in Chile have all followed in our wake. Welcome Home!
  12. You're obviously a VERY memorable guy.
  13. Ha, not bored yet. Yeah it sounds like you've been having a mini heatwave, that'll be the summer over now then. We're feeling it a bit chilly here in Chilli, as it's only about 18C, not the 30c, we have become accustomed to:)
  14. As some of you may already know, I am currently traversing the globe with hubby and kids. Sadly we are now much nearer the end than the beginning. Just recently, a few encounters, have reinforced my view that it is indeed a small world : Sailing from Sydney to French Polynesia, it turns out the Cruise Director and his wife, live 2 doors down from my brother in Murthly. We arrive in Easter Island, and one of the first people we meet is from Aberdeen, What are the chances of meeting someone from Aberdeen the week after Saints trounce them 2-0 We check into our serviced apartment in Santiago, the manager mistakes me for being American, I swiftly put him right, and he wonders why I don't sound like the people he met on Hogmany in Edinburgh! Then he informs me his grandmother is from this small port town in Scotland called...........Perth! Her surname was Cargill, and her family came to South America to mine. So if you have any distant relatives with that surname who left for South America years ago, I might just have found your cousin:) What 'small world moments' have you had ? oops nearly forgot, here's the link to our blog www.cannonworld.info
  15. Just logging in from my cruise ship in theTasman Sea on the way to Fiji:D Hoping I will be able to stream the game, but doubting connection will be good enough. So hoping everyone has a fantastic day out at Hampden, and Saints do the biz. COME ON YOU SAINTS !!!!!!
  16. Well done guys, I'd missed this thread, but just saw the pictures and blurb on the StJ official site. As someone who has struggled with their weight for years, I appreciate how difficult it is to keep the momentum going. It sounds like your all having good fun (& a bit of pain) whilst you're losing, so keep it up.
  17. Well here we are 4 months into our travels and we feel like we've been travelling for years. 9 countries down, 10 to go ! Anybody interested can follow us at http://www.travelpod.com/members/thecannons
  18. Me and my family are currently in Japan. We booked a self guided tour through www.insidejapan.com. We had 1 day in tokyo at the start and we have 2.5 days there at the end. We stayed at the Hotel Villa Fontaine hotel which is close to the Ginza District. We had a guide for this first day and we visited the fish market, which is well worth a visit, but go early. They hold Tuna and fish auctions early, and they only allow a small number of tourists in which is on a first come basis. We then headed for the outer market, where you can see a Shinto Shrine. It definately helped having the guide who steered us through the Shinto customs. If your into gadgets, go to the Sony building on Ginzo. this is a showcase building for all their latest technology. My 8 and 10 year old had great fun playing a 3D playstation game on a 60" 3D LCD! We also had a wander past the Imperial Palace and it's gardens, where the Emperor lives, although you can't see the actual palace. Tokyo is expensive, but you can still eat and drink reasonably if your sensible. We're not and paid £8 for a pint of Guiness! Get a pasmo card which you load up with as much yen as you think you'll need and you can then jump on and off buses and the subway. When we head back we're doing Disney Sea resort and are booked to see the Cirque Du Soleil show at the Disney complex. You don't need to be a kid to enjoy these! I'll hopefully get our Japanese leg updated on our blog soon, so check this link in about a week for more info! http://www.travelpod.com/members/thecannons
  19. I pity the new owners who with bad publicity like this, might find their bookings taking a dip. I'm guessing they bought the place with no idea that this was about to break.
