  1. Aye, posts like this are pretty much why I rarely post in this forum tbh. :/ It's my honest opinion of the DVD. I don't need a reality check and I wasn't expecting a big budget blu Ray standard affair. At the very least for £15 a decent standard copy of the game should be on the disc imo. There is after all a pretty decent copy available to stream for free from YouTube.
  2. This is, in my opinion, a poor effort of a DVD given its presumably spent 6 months in production. It appears to be a it of a rush job tbh. The game itself is the BBC coverage which starts quite suddenly and with no introduction. Not a deal breaker of course but it's pretty amatuer stuff for an official DVD. Even a wee intro from Stuart C would have surely been possible? Perhaps clips of the goals from the previous rounds? The quality of the game as has been mentioned is pretty poor. A tinny sound that is oddly not present on the superior bootleg version or the YouTube videos. The extras disc is also a dissapointing affair presentation wise. A blue menu screen with white writing is pretty much it. Again the bootleg version was superior on this front. It's pretty easy to knock up professional looking menu screens on Windows movie maker, the lack of effort here is what's so dissapointing. The actual interviews are pretty good but fairly short. In summary if you want to support the club then it's obviously worth picking it up. But if you want a quality keepsake of the big day there are better, cheaper options out there (like downloading videos from the clubs own YouTube channel or the so called bootleg DVD). Charging £15 for a handful of interviews and a poor quality copy of the BBC'S match coverage seems a bit steep for what you actually get. Not intending to knock the club here, just give my honest opinion of the product and I don't think it's up to scratch personally. Will be interested to hear others views on it.
  3. Received mine today, tremendous effort. Top man
  4. Haven't played for PSJ before and I'm not the greatest player in the world but I'm available if there's room in the squad.
  5. I'll be a lot happier if we cuff County and Dundee. Beating ra sellic is nice but its the teams around us we need to be taking points off. Countys mammoth unbeaten stretch suggests this thread might be a bit on the premature side.
  6. Some things transcend football. The Hillsborough disaster is one of them. I loathe to comment on political matters but from a human point of view the events and revelations of the last few days should, IMO, put recent events at our club into a bit of perspective. If we we done something to show support for the families of the 96 I'd be ok with it, even if it is singing a song that another scottish team we were playing have adopted as their own at our home ground.
  7. Better fare than we've become used to. Liam Craigs set peices are pitiful though, whats happened to his previously reliable left foot? I'll take the point, but thats Really two dropped IMO.
  8. Everyone is more concerned about rumour and hearsay than football. I say Judge the man by performances on the pitch, not the chinese whispers flying about Perth. If performances don't pick up then fair enough. The other stuff however is a non issue for me. He could be a cross dressing mutton molester for all I care as long as the team are playing well.
  9. Yeah, it was never a 1-5 scoreline over the 90 minutes but IMO it was still a fairly turgid performance and we were never likely to get a win. Although the scoreline flattered Utd in the end you were still worthy winners.
  10. Keeping my expectations extremely low. The 1-5 drubbing is still fresh in my mind. Would be very surprised if we came away with three points after the start we've had.
  11. He has to get something from the next three games for me. Straight defeats and its time for Lomas to ask himself if his time here was simply a good learning experience.
  12. I rarely type a post here but this topic warrants one. That was shambolic yesterday and even though I admit the season is in its infancy I can't see where any improvement is going to come from. There is a dearth of creativity in midfield and our back four are susceptible to any sort of pace. The summer signings have not addressed that. Additionally what I would have liked to see is a Mcinnes style "head down and get on with it" attitude yesterday. A sleeves up, sensible approach to the problem by utilising the players we have in their strongest positions. What we got was half the team out of position, a barmy formation and a right royal humping. Followed by up another whingin interview that, frankly, isn't doing him any favours with the support. In isolation you could treat this as a "bad day at the office". As part of a multi game winless stretch it should quite rightly come under greater scrutiny. Is it time for him to go? Well no. But he should not be far away unless lessons are learned very, very quickly. This is relegation form whichever way you paint it.
  13. I'll probably not make it now, last minute change of plans by other half. Sorry G, I'll try and make next week if its on.
  14. SI are now putting anyone who takes the time to respond to this into a prize draw for a free copy of FM2012. Unfortunatly So far the Saints responses have been a bit lukewarm.
  15. Definitely out now. Hoping to be fit enough for Saturday, doing plenty of ice and hot treatments so we'll see how it goes.
  16. Ha, sadly there's things in place that prevent researchers doing that. Plus it's rigerously tested so if Cleveland Taylor scored a hat trick it would be pretty obvious the stats were borked.
  17. St Mark and I do research for the popular Football Manager PC game series. Mostly we just try and make sure the player stats are as accurate as possible. Obviously it's not an exact science and a lot of the data is based on the previous seasons performance and a fair amount of guesswork based on pre season showings (especially if it's a new signing from another league) as to how they may perform that year. Well this year the head researcher, a Dundee Utd fan for his sins, has opened up the feedback process to pretty much everyone. The aim is to get as much info as possible from as many fans as possible so it is as accurate a reflection of the real world in the game. The link is here: http://stuartreviewsstuff.wordpress.com/2011/05/20/the-football-manager-2012-scottish-research-project-have-your-say/ So if you have any interest in Saints and the game at all get cracking, all the feedback provided will be taken into account for FM 2012 hopefully making it the most realistic version yet. Cheers
  18. Nice one, cheers. Anyone have a idea of how to get in touch with him?
