Being mid-season has absolutely no bearing on the quality of the team. We should be beating most of these sides. Odd are the only team I'm worried about but even then they won't be any better than teams we've beaten recently

I think him and MacLean would work brilliantly if we had pace out wide and a midfield runner. The centre halves would have no idea what to do, drop back towards their own goal with Sutton, mark MacLean whos dropping deep and also keep and eye out for the midfield runner? That would mean goals.

Vigurs, Cummins and Sutton to replace Croft, McFadden and Graham, that would be an improvement regardless of how Cummins performs. IF we can get Swanson, this would be the most positive Summer transfer-wise we'll have had in a long time

Considering the amount of chances we put on the head of Graham, who took about three before he finally scored one, i cant see how Sutton wont match or beat Grahams tally. Some amount of competition for places now though, especially if we can somehow get Swanson.

I'm not disagreeing with any of that, if theres a player whos already proven himself as a standout at our level then we will be willing to spend money on them, Swanson being a prime example, the fact we offered Sandaza and then May contracts to apparently be our highest ever earners also stands up to that. Gormley wasnt that though, it would be absolutely mental to spend over £100k on a striker who's never played full time football in his life, especially as that sort of transfer would result in us not being able to sign anyone else. As much as the whole idea of him sounded tremendous, it would completely **** us to spend that much on him if he completely flopped, which is more than possible.
