  1. I'm not really wanting to get into the debate as to who was our best ever manager, but my one observation would be, under Willie Ormand, it was bloody enjoyable, a really good attacking team, it was fun. We beat some great teams, and even when we lost, we had a go. I looked forward to the next game. This stuff just makes your eyes bleed, it's been the same for years., I go every now and then, and think feck that for enjoyment. Best wishes to you folks who put up with it week in week out 👌
  2. Absolutely disgraceful, As good as any keeper at the moment. The guy must be gutted. If Dunfermline ( or any other team in Scotland) got Marshall on loan, he would be straight back in the squad.
  3. What the feck has happened to Clark, he looked a great prospect at one time, now it's like he has no idea. Is it the fault of the coaching staff,? He just does not look the part at all now. Time for Parish to have a game.
  4. HI probably have no right to enter this discussion. I only pay at the gate on the occasions I am able to attend games. I like many others of my age was a regular supporter in the Ormond times, but as other commitments take over life, football is a rare luxury. In my eyes, this decline happened straight after Saints won the Scottish cup. I recall one interview with Brown who was doom and gloom even then.. He may well be a successful business man on his fathers coat tail, but his running of the club is shocking. The Stevie May debacle only highlights this. This was a signing that would have given the club a huge lift, instead we are being lincked with all the usual misfits which adds no bums on seats. I for one would certainly have made the effort to come back to see Stevie play for us again., and I suspect I am not alone in that thought. Was he our saviour, I doubt it, not unless tactics change. But Brown took the chance to show his superior negotiating skills and ****ed it up. Browns are the saviours of this club? I suspect Bruce Mc Dairmid and Asdas are nearer the truth on that one. Anyway, fire away all you proper supporters. After all it is called a forum.
  5. Mac Fisheries, as you went in had fish on your left and fruit on your right. Hendersons the Pet shop on old high street, Penny's the pet shop further up. Browns pet shop next to the Sally Army HQ. Garvie and Syme, the Ironmomgers. Milk in Hillyland was delivered by a white horse and a guy called Norrie. Macintyres in Bridgend used to sell mince rolls ar all hours, and the Strand... Visitors from overseas downstairs, with bad white girls, band on the next floor and disco on the top floor. And the much discussed city hall, Average White Band, Eric Clapton. Love Affair, and Sandy Shaw getting it doggy style in what should have been our changing room!!!
  6. I have watched many goalkeepers over my life, I can even remember watching Andy Goram playing for Oldham. O ne of the very best was Nigel Spink, but thats another thread. Mannus to my mind is a very solid reliable goalkeeper, he might not make the stunning saves that Enks made ( but he will ) but he is all round a far better keeper. There is much more to fault about this side than our goalkeeper.I am told our manager reads these posts, well from a new comer to this forum, can I just say Listen!!!
  7. I might well be shot down in flames by all you old hacks, no offence to anyone, first time post, not sure how it all works, but just my impression of todays game.I used to go every game in the old Muirton days, sitting down just lost it for me!! Responded to the Admin call for a great support, First game in years, what I saw today was totall pish,no wonder the home support is dwindling if this is what you have had to watch, one up front against the giants that are Aberdeen?? I know there was a strike force in the stand, but Higgins is not a target man, May is not a winger, and there were players out there carrying knocks, and yet the managers subs pulled all sorts of players out of position, it was like headless chickens, I thought we had several good players, but the wrong tactics. Mannus to me is a good solid goalkeeper, more reliable than Enks, not his fault today, but I really think the manager has to be braver, May will miss a good few chances, but is exciting to watch, if played properly. When I attended, and this is the feeling I get talking to those around me today, we would rather go down in style, than watch that crap every week. Would I go back? yes, cause I do think we have good players, not so keen on the manager though,A lot of thought has to go into his tactics and subs. Sorry, only my opinion.
