This may sound extreme but i think us fans need to gather at McDiarmid and have a peaceful protest regarding the running of the club as we are in the darkness here, something is well off.

    Stop sniffing glue

  2. The team is in a right state, can't win a match - it won't change unless something changes (ideally a new team!)

Jody morris is not the solution, and he'd not come north again - he managed at chelsea, quite sure his sights will be in the SE of England, coach or manager at a championship team or something. We've got a good ex-pro, but maybe not at the right time of their career and our downward spiral.

Then again, if fans had been allowed at those games, perhaps we wouldn't have won the trophies anyway. It did seem like a bit of a leveller that worked more in our favour than it did for some of the bigger clubs. But really who knows.

Beating Hibs with fans would have been a great day. As you say, who knows!

This sums it up for me, totally agree with this.

I do wonder though if it hadn’t been the Covid year and I d been at those double cup games I d feel differently, I think I probably would.

Not being at the games reduced the importance to us as fans, even if the achievement on the park was massive. 2014 will always be the big one.

Is anyone on here an agent by chance?

I want to by a qtrly standing order but am not eligible as I don’t live in the UK and I was hoping to talk to anyone who maybe in a private message, to work something out.

Not sure if this should be in general chat or not, apologies if it’s in the wrong place

This is nuts, a business that doesn't/can't accept your money!

    Will DM an idea

Crawford and Bair are probably the worst two pieces of transfer business that I can think of in my years supporting Saints, and Davidson was responsible for both of them.

If we'd signed Crawford outright and it hadn't worked out that would be one thing, but the fact that we actually already had him on loan so knew he wasn't cutting it before the deal was made permanent is just something I find mind-boggling. Just imagine how much money Crawford's completely unnecessary time at the club must have cost Saints.

Got rid of Bair and signed this Sven charactor...... hope to be proven 100% wrong, but has all the hallmarks of watched him on a YouTube, and my mate's pal in the pub......said etc

  7. Heroic performance, watched it - thankfully without commentary on sellick tv.

19 corners to celtic, one to us. 75% possession etc, but they had no ideas.

We played perfect rope a dope, nothing landed, we defended, and kept the concentration right to the end of the match, a thoroughly deserved 0 - 0 VICTORY!

    Horsed them :)

    No you wouldnt.

Chelsea spent over £500m last season to finish mid-table.

Yeah, they had the same problems as saints: Too many players, an insecure manager and uncertainty of ownwership.

    NEXT :)

Is he good enough with the investment

If you give me the money Pep has at Man City and I could win them the EPL too.
SO yeah, give a manager the money and he'll usually get better players.
With no money you need someone who can work in that frame - MacClean is not managing that task.

Think there's a bit of a danger at the moment of a lot of people starting to panic and that's really not going to help matters. Have already seen a lot of the usual suspects on social media calling for the manager's head and just find it almost laughable that that is some people's solution to absolutely everything (we used to get the same types calling for Tommy Wright's head any time we had a bad run of results, which seems even crazier now than it did then). This is why the idea of fan ownership worries me: we'd be starting from fresh with a new manager every couple of weeks if some of our fans had their way.

I had a lot of reservations about appointing MacLean but he's in the job now and I think the club has a responsibility to stand by him, and the fans should unite as much as possible in getting behind him and not turning on the players during matches. It's just way too early in the season, and in Macca's reign, to do anything else. He clearly knows that what we're seeing right now isn't good enough, he's trying to implement a long term plan, he's trying to bring in the right kind of player and he wants to get us playing in a different way. Clearly at the moment it's not happening but did anyone actually expect an overnight turn-around? This is a huge job and even an experienced manager would have found it a major challenge.

Obviously this can't be allowed to go on for months and months, and if it starts to look like we're being cut adrift at the bottom of the table then there's going to have to be a big change. But for now I just think the best thing anyone can do - players, fans, coaches, everyone on and off the pitch - is pull in the same direction and make sure the team is supported.

The club has no responsibility to MacClean other than the contract.

If Davidson should have been sacked after Kelty, then Maclean was gone after Stenny and the worst result in 25 years, a 4-0 drubbing at Home to Stirling Albion.

Let's not muck about here, if you have followed football long enough you'll know this is not going to improve, and the club are in bother. They must invest in a manager and players. It's not happening, and he is not good enough to do the job without that investment.
