  1. Slightly dearer I think, I`ll check that out. Saying that, the membership is cheaper. The price Sky Sports are charging pubs and clubs it`s a surprise the drink isn`t dearer everywhere, they really have got you by the b#llocks JR
  2. Certainly not barred !! One thing clubs have to do now is take opinions on board and deal with gripes. What I can say is Ive drank up there for 20 odd years now and it`s certainly changed ! The lounge and bar and hall have all been completely refurbished, layout changes, different seating, partitions down, stage set ups etc. The toilets have been gutted, the hallways and entrance improved, lighting and heating improved.......so it`s certainly been done up in 30 years ! The lounge is now a cracking wee live venue. As for the lager, is it a case of it`s Carlsberg and thats not your preference , or is it really just not nice ? I drink the draught Holsten so am open to comments about the lager ! All comments taken on board JR
  3. For anyone interested in a good night out and some decent live music, The Tulloch are trying to build up a bit of a music/comedy scene. In the last 6 months there`s been a successful comedy club night, the return of The Kasbah Club ( next one 5th March) and throughout Jan there`s some good old acoustic/folk music going on in the bar on Sat nights. This sat it`s a band called "The Breakaway String Band " playing live. As mentioned on a previous thread , Feb 19th sees THEM BEATLES appear at the club. You can check them out on youtube, they really are pretty special. Being a Saintee, I would obviously like to see more Saints fans use the club before and after the games. Memberships are due for re-newal at the moment and it would be good to see new applications from fellow Saints. It`s perfect for pre and post match beers !! You can keep up to date with events on The Tulloch Institute facebook page Cheers JR

    Perth FM

I know there`s a few on here who have had the mis-fortune of hearing our band somewhere in Perth over the years, just to say we are the featured band on Perth FM this week ! You can download a free version of our single Rockin In The Free World under the local bands section on www.perthfm.co.uk or tune in at 10.30am on friday morning for a listen ! Cheers JR
  5. Yep, heard from a very reliable one today.
  6. It`s pay at the gate, with Dundee fans getting moved, so we`ll all get in no probs JR
  7. I had the pleasure of being part of Jimmy`s mop cupboard squad 'round about 80 - 82 time I think. Old tattered light blue Scotland tracksuit with frayed bottoms was the standard issued uniform. I`m sure there`s an old ball boy photo that appeared in the PA at the time, must see if i can dig it out. JR
  8. No terracing to stand on. Not strictly Saints fault..but not mine either :-) JR
  9. The saints aid shop... Jock was a top lad that worked in there, he used to run the St. Johnstone under 15`s too, changing in the Barossa Street Club. During our centenary season me and my mate delivered leaflets for them to every house in Letham during the summer holidays....was a good idea at the time, but after a few days of it !!! I remember getting my first Scotland ticket from there too, as well as the pinstripe top which Drew Rutherford sold me, as well as the big saints badges with the players faces on them mentioned on the badge thread. It was a sad day for us as kids when it closed....but thinking back the window display didn`t exactly entice you in....from memory it was a scabby blue saints rossette and a couple of programmes JR
  10. Do you remember around about `83/`84 time the Saints Aid shop sold big badges with the players faces on them ? Pretty awful thinking back but i`m sure I had a scarf full of them at the time JR
  11. Can`t believe none of the old school have come up with the old time classic... " The referee is illigitimate He`s not got a birth certificate The referree is illigitimate He`s a f##king b##tard " JR
  12. Was there with my old man that day, unfortunately was too young to go and get plastered after it ! I remmeber the crush trying to get out of the Ice Rink end through the typically half open gates !! I always remember the replay at Ibrox, the opposite stand was going through it`s re-construction at the time. It`s the first time I heard Vienna by ultravox belting out, that always sticks with me for some reason ?? ! JR

  14. Hope you all had a good night at the wedding, one of the better do`s we`ve played at Yes, I know " I got you babe " was ropey, most first dances are, cause we only learn them the day before JR
  15. On that awful night we had to go out and play a gig ! We did a song called One More River Still To Cross and dedicated it to Saints fans everywhere. The following week we played the Tulloch and mentioned it again before we played the song. Didn`t think anything of it but now we get asked to do "that Saints song" everytime we go back there as well as in a few other pubs in the town. We`ve only got a live version of it just now but hope to record it later on in the year, might even put in another verse about Saints. You can have a listen here www.myspace.com/boozendaze . Sound is a bit ropey as it was recorded live down in Preston but you`ll get the idea :-) JR
