  1. Click away the advert Panama, then game appears...click arrows bottom right to increase screen size. Goodluck.
  2. Thanks for sharing this link, m8, working perfectly.
  3. For me it's got to be the Seawave Bar, Catalan Bay in Gibraltar. Having a pint or three chatting with the friendly locals and watching dolphins swimming past...amazing. Going back for three weeks this July...can't wait. https://www.tripadvisor.com.ph/LocationPhotoDirectLink-g187510-d1232181-i48573044-Seawave_Bar-Gibraltar.html (Not me in the pics)
  4. Hi saintcraigieboy, thank-you. Yeah, the Bens manager was his usual vocal self...i think Scone's number 2 was ready to head-butt him as well when he got sent -off...the two of them squared upto each other on the touch-line...but thankfully he decided it was best to ignore him and go to the changing rooms. A better report of the match can be found here... http://www.benburbfootballclub.co.uk/club/268787/Matches/report/6079821 but it strangely dosent mention anything of the tough tackling that went on through-out the whole match. Good-luck to Scone for the rest of the season.
  5. REPLAY RESULT Benburb 3 - 3 Scone Thislte Scone Thistle won 4-3 penalites 4 mins...Scone score from free-kick. Low shot that somehow found a way past several players on way to goal. 26 mins...Scone score from penalty sending keeper wrong way. 33 mins...Bens score from low shot 8 yards from goal after scramble for ball. 58 mins...Bens get equalizer thanks to an own goal. 60 mins...Scone have goal disallowed for off-side. 75 mins...Scone score with a great header from corner-kick. 80 mins...Scone number 2 red-carded for head-butting Bens number 3. 82 mins...Bens sub number 14 red-carded for dangerous tackle. 90+2 mins...Bens get late equalizer with header from corner-kick. Full-time. No exta-time played...Scone win penalties. Terrible display from both teams who seemed to prefer tackling each other rather than play football. Game threatened to get out of hand around the 80 minute mark. Referee struggled to control the game from the start. Scone number 10 was best player on the pitch in my opinion...he showed a lot of skill and clever runs...Bens struggled hard to contain him. Overall, i think it's the correct team that goes through to next round.
  6. Glad i could help, Hoodlum65. The pubs you mentioned, you might be interested to know, are still there. One that is out of shot on the left-hand side of the photo is called The Grapes Bar. It was a regular watering hole for Rangers player Ian Durrant when he was a youngster learning his trade on the park. The bar across the road from the pitch is comically called The Doctors. Both bars are still going strong, especially on match days at Ibrox Stadium.
  7. Plantation Park in the 60's....is this how you remember it?
  8. Hi saintcraigieboy, Yes, Paul Lovering is the manager I don't know him personally, but It's generally accepted, in this neck of the woods, the bens would not be going today but for the efforts of him and his dad. I do think he goes OTT sometimes, but i think his passion for the club gets the better of him now and then. Below is a link to a report of the match from Benburb's point of view as posted on their website. Remember though, i am NOT the author, so don't shoot the messenger. http://www.benburbfootballclub.co.uk/club/268787/Matches/report/6065148
  9. Found this 6 mins clip showing the old tinto park... To think there used to be thousands watching back in the day...real shame it's all houses standing there now.
  10. Hi Hoodlum, I don't remember the Bens playing on a ash surface. The old Tinto park has sadly been demolished and houses have been built. It was a shame to see it go, but in truth, it had it's day. New Tinto Park is close-by the to where the original ground stood. Old Tinto playing surface was grass, and the new ground has a 3G surface. While the old ground was being replaced by houses, the Bens played their "home" games at Neilston Juniors FC. This is the 1st full season of games being played at the new ground. I added a couple of short clips to let you see the old and the new grounds. You maybe thinking of St. Anthony's Juniors (closet rivals) whose playing surface was terrible. They too, have moved to much improved facilities in recent times.
  11. Result... Scone Thistle 1 -1 Benburb Replay at Tinto Park on Sat 31st Oct at 14.00. If interested, I will obtain and post a report of yesterdays match. I will get the chance to see Scone play after all.
  12. Yeah, i noticed that offer on some part of the club website. Unfortunately, i'm now unable to make the game either. Was looking forward to it as well. I've no idea how many Bens fans will attend, it's usually only a die-hard few that travel to the away games. Even the games at home don't attract decent crowds. Tinto park is only a "long ball" from Ibrox and something there keeps attracting the locals. Still, there's the big match at Morton to look forward to...only a 30 min drive for me and the father-in-law. Roll on Tuesday. COYS
  13. Hi everyone, I've been attending and enjoying the matches of my local junior side, Benburb, lately. It's the 2nd round of the Scottish Junior Cup tomorrow (24th Oct) and the "Bens" have been drawn with Perthshire side, Scone Thislle. The "Bens" are an attacking side and because of this style of play, they usually leak as many goals as they score, but it makes the games very entertaining. Their 1st rd games against Port Glasgow had the lot. End to end football, bookings / red cards, a replay and a last minute goal to separate the sides. All-in-all a great cup-tie to watch. Do any of you watch Scone's matches? What type of team are they? I thought i'd mention the fixture since Saints are playing away tomorrow and your unable to travel to Inverness. Maybe you'd like to watch/enjoy a junior match for a change. http://www.benburbfootballclub.co.uk/club/268787/Home
  14. My father-in-law and i will be there. Only approx 30min drive for us. Means getting home at a reasonable time for a change. I'm sure other Glasgow Saints will be in attendance. Surely we can get a result against killie??? I've heard their pies are good
  15. I think we can still win this... We had a poor game and it made the opposition look better than they are. They took the chances they were given. If we can just find our usual away form over there, and hopefully get a first-half goal, then i think we'd go on to win the tie. Well done to the fans in the east stand corner...made a great atmosphere.
  16. Just got home...fantastic result. A refusal to be beat got us through. Thought Crofty did really well when he came on. Extra-time tested the nerves. I was sitting right behind dug-outs, the way TW handled the incident there shows where the inspiration comes from. Luzern fans were entertaining through-out the game and should be applauded for remaining in their seats when our lot ran over to gloat.
  17. Memo to Manager and the team... Please practise penalties... Remember Minsk game last year?
  18. Great result. Edge of the seat stuff at next weeks game now. Ticket office is going to be very busy all of a sudden. Glad i got mine wednesday. Well done saints and to all the fans who travelled. Safe journey back.
  19. Very impressed...tickets arrived this morning. Thank-you all at ticket office. Now, bring on the game...
  20. I was given choice of east or west stands...i picked west...then told we would be sitting front centre. Need to wait for tickets to find out exactly where. Was also told game was selling well.
  21. Tickets for myself and father-in-law for home game in the post. Here's hoping it's still all to play for as with Minsk game last year.
  22. Can't we invite our Turkish pals over for a kick-about and show them OUR trophy? I'm sure that game would draw a great crowd.
  23. Excellent read...looking forward to the next chapter
