  1. By the sounds of it, what a difference when McLean not on the pitch !
  2. Back on topic. I enjoyed the BBC news footage of county bursting open the bubbly after the game on Sunday. Lets hope they downed a case each of the stuff at night and still feel sh#t tomorrow night.
  3. As will be seen when they come up, that rivalry has run its course. There will be some trying to keep it alive, but they are just clinging onto something old and familiar. Never ! The hatred those teams fans have for each other and their respective teams will never die. As the grass is green and the sky is blue, nothing has nor will change, the football is an excuse and used only as a vehicle to allow 60,000 people to vent that bile on the days they play each other.
  4. Nothing, but there's a difference between a well taken free kick and a well taken goal from open play. All good goals
  5. Oh to work for an organization where week on week poor performance by management and staff goes unchallenged. Where near 6 months of underachieving is brushed aside for the fear of upsetting anyone ! A phone in would make for an interesting exciting programme !
  6. Every Tuesday team talk should've been the same, with the same 1 question being asked since October and should go along the lines of ......... WTF, explain yourself ? And that's it. It should be put to team and management collectively.
  7. The way the respective teams are playing at the moment a good bet would be Hibs v The in the final ! Says a lot for the standard of Scottish football in general
  8. Great point, honours even over the 3 games but still 9 - 6 up in goals ! The Bla, Bla Crap site says that MacLean had a 10 yard volley saved at the last minute by their keeper, if it took over a minute to get to the keeper what kind of powder puff power was behind the shot ? Think some over exaggeration is going on for the millionth time !
  9. Again I agree, the point I'm making is, getting the correct quality players at the right time would greatly help our position now and then for next season, having the balance of good young players and quality experienced ones is the core of any successful team. My big concern is that although we might be attracting players of that ilk we are not managing to sign them. Why ? What are they seeing / hearing now which is turning them away ?
  10. Agree to disagree. I think we'd all be happy to welcome another Jody Morris and Dubery to the club, it's getting the right players on their way out of the game at the right time.
  11. The only way fan's could make a difference is by boycotting the teams / grounds where these prices are charged. Huge problem is getting ALL teams supporters to do likewise. Catch 22 is that your team doesn't get a support at away games. Only the club can make the stand against prices at the other grounds during the league meetings, or, charge the respective support of the visiting teams the same as our support would be going to their ground. Stand up for yourselves saints both on and off the pitch !
  12. Wrap up warm all who are traveling up here at the weekend. It's f##king freezing ! Down to -5 tonight and through the weekend is to be same. Typical, a home game for me and I'm away until the start of next week. COYS give the sheep a bigger fright than a farmer with a glint in his eye at Thainstone mart. Over 2 games this season we're 8 - 5 ahead, make it 9 - 5 over 3 with 3 points and I'll be a very happy bunny.
  13. Always a good indication that your team is playing shite when the supporters start fighting with each other verbally on every thread.
  14. In the eye's of the law it's not about whether you perceive it to be a racist comment or not, that perception HAS to come from the intended recipient of the comment. They are the one who has to make the judgement as to whether it is racist or not. e.g: you are sitting on a bus and hear 2 persons discussing their dislike for a certain ethic origin of person, insert here whichever example you wish, at the front of the bus there is a person of that ethnic origin sitting who does not hear the remark made. There is no crime as the potential intended victim was not aware of what has been said. You over hearing the comment does not make it a racial crime, it may be an incident, but it is criminal. Likewise at a designated football match. If a racial comment is made relating to a player, official on the pitch who hears the comment, and there is corroboration of the comment by others around the person then there is sufficient to record a Section 1 of the Offensive Behaviour at Football and Threatening Communications (Scotland) Act 2010 If not heard by the player, official which it was intended for, we're back to the bus scenario. (this could however be dealt with under Sect 38 Criminal Justice & Licensing (Scotland) Act 2010) Used to an old Breach of the Peace charge. The OBFTCS Act was not intended to and does not criminalise football banter or bad taste in the absence of any other aggravating, threatening or offensive behaviour. This is not opinion. it's fact, written in Law. There is no Law unfortunately which governs stupidity !
  15. I should think so as well, it's six toes they have ! Or at least my mate who's wife is also his mother was saying
  16. One word, MONEY ! Did TW not sign a contract extension recently. There's got to be a hefty compensation clause in it I'm sure. Just as it appears Brown will not shell out for players of the standard required to compete in the league now, I doubt he'll hand over cash to someone he shows the door to. Come on TW get a grip thou' even stupid people learn from their mistakes and don't keep making the same ones.
  17. Hopefully when the well timed tackles go in it'll be Kaaaaruncher !!!!!
  18. The Bla Bla Crap site states Flubert cut his stay short by a week, wonder if that was after watching the game on Saturday. Sure they'll be dying to get an interview to dig the dirt ! Journalist scum !
  19. Jesus !!! The footballing governing authorities censoring what can and cannot be said and reported on ! It'll never catch on SPFL wouldn't stand for it !
  20. Once / if we secure top 6 TW has nothing to loose, mix the team up, get the youngsters in playing regularly for the last 6 games. Who gives a shit if we loose them then, we would be secure, at least it gives experience and something with which the team can be built upon for next season. Christ knows we need it, what with the likelyhood of both sets of the ugly sisters from Glasgow and Edinburgh in the league, we could seriously struggle at this rate next season. TW don't be short sighted, the future is in the youth, some reliable servants need to be let out to pasture and new blood brought in to complete the youth / experience that all good teams need. SB, see the light or the writing may be on the wall. I don't want us to be the next Dundee Utd next season. The remaining games and the rest of this season is vital and pivotal to how we perform in the next.
