  1. Think i read a comment that there were some 3000 tickets for company/hospitality that are sold for the semi. I understand that would be the case for a final, due to occasion and companies being able to use it as a valuable sales/marketing with clients. Is/was there really such a demand for a league cup semi for this? This would be around 15-20% of all tickets at tynie....seems high to me, so assuming I'm missing something here.

As an aside, that block of 24 tickets should be used by saints, coordinating with hibs fans if possible, to put up a demonstration banner along the lines of "cockwomble, screwing over fans and under selling the value of scottish football since.....". Should make for some good banter in these gin and tonic sections.

As a final aside... in many countries, I believe sports events are televised when/after a game is sold out. Surely thats money left on the table here? Its obviously going to be televised as we will get extended highlights after the fact, so why not make that feed live?

Don't think any game can be televised in the UK on a Saturday,  between 1500 and 1715, whether league or cup.

  2. The club would have to lay a carpet down as a pitch for him.

Can't see him being used to playing in the furrows of McD.

Great to think, that if we managed to progress him as a player with time on the field of a future link between the two clubs developing if it did come off.

St Barca, or Barca Staints has a certain ring to it

    Fair City Barcelona?

Wouldn't even have to change the FCB

  3. Dived in with an early challenge on Friday night that led to their goal but recovered well and didn't do too much more wrong. He also misses players Xmas weekend with a nasty gash on his leg following the dirty dee challenge that their fans were claiming a pen for.

Played the last 40 minutes with a cut on his ankle, so deep you could see his bone.. Some lad.

  4. Has to be a clear goal scoring opportunity. There were other players in the area so I suppose not. And also maybe it was a ref using common sense for a change. It was after all in the last minute.

So if someone elbows another player they should only get a yellow if it's in the last minute?  Surely a red card offence is a red card offence in the first minute or the last? And yes there were players in the box but it's bouncing down in front of Craig 12 yards out and he's about to shoot.. surely pretty clear goalscoring opportunity?
