  1. Saints don’t need fans like you. Support the players who wear the shirt. May has made a difference to the team today and has contributed a lot to our recent history so show a bit of respect. I’d hazard a guess you have done nothing remotely close in your life so wind your neck in you utter roaster.
  2. It’s not a given that it would work and if you leave Levein in charge then there is a higher chance he will keep us safe given his experience. You don’t sack a manager with 4 games left.
  3. Keep the faith pal. Not renewing just hurts the club and suffering the bad times just make the good times sweeter. Hopefully we stay up and completely overhaul what is the poorest squad of players in living memory.
  4. However much we may not think Levein is the answer, sacking him now with a few games left would be absurd and make us look an absolute basket case. The squad assembled is just of a really poor standard and it is questionable whether any manager could get more out of it. There is not a single defender on the books who I would keep going forward and only 1 midfielder in Phillips I would keep but he will be off and in the forward areas the new guys have potential and are worth keeping on but I would punt the rest. The management team need a summer to put their own stamp on the squad and give them a fair crack at it rather than just becoming trigger happy and sacking managers.
  5. There are better players in the bench than in the starting line-up. May must have shit in Levein’s cornflakes.
  6. You are living in a fantasy world if you think any new owners are going to have a passion for St Johnstone. Any new owners/investment in a Scottish club is more likely to be a vanity project. It’s a play thing to look good in front of their equally rich friends by owning a sports team on the cheap. If we fall into the wrong hands it could be the end of us. Geoff Brown wants his money nothing more nothing less. This is a really dangerous time for Scottish clubs who are being invested in by foreign owners as you never know the mess that will be left behind when they have had enough.
  7. No new owner is going to come in and invest in a club who could be languishing in the lower league for years. They will be waiting to see what happens.
  8. If we go down there will be no takeover.
  9. Lot of people still don’t seem to understand that the foundations of this were laid long before Levein arrived. We have a really poor squad. Too many ageing players and too much inexperience is a poor combination. I don’t get his reluctance to give May more minutes as anytime he does play he makes a difference but there is something more to that situation I suspect. Levein was appointed with a long term view and I don’t see that changing and if we go down he will be left to build the club so we are in a better position when we do come back up. We look favourites for the play off spot as County look like they have more about them. Does anyone give us much chance against the likes of Raith Rovers? I really think relegation is becoming more and more likely. If we go down I don’t see any new owners still being interested and that is maybe why it has gone all quiet until they find out if we will be staying in the league or not. Desperate times.
  10. Be careful what you wish for. We could languish in the lower league for years.
  11. Thanks for the smart opening line👍🏻. Groundbreaking stuff. If we want to launch balls at May’s head then yeah he is not the man for the job. If we want to play football the right way then he could be used very effectively. Kimpioka is vastly over rated on here and is like Bambi on ice most of the time. Very very raw. May had interest from teams higher up the league than us in Jan but chose to stay so fair play to him.
  12. May was easily our best player today so I think all the nonsense we have heard from some that he is finished can be put to bed now. He needs a run in the team.
  13. It is not going well that is certain but I feel with any manager you have to give him time. He doesn’t trust the players in his squad which is evidenced by the constant wholesale changes from game to game. He needs to be allowed to shape his own squad in the summer unless the new owners come in and want to pay up his contract. We need to concentrate on the be all and end all which is staying up and then build from there.
  14. We are poor all over the park but it’s not helped by having no consistency of selection. There is no way anyone will convince me that May could not make a difference to that team. For him not to appear from the bench is ridiculous and it looks like something is not right in the squad.
  15. Yes I am of the same thought. I don’t understand the attraction of investing in a Scottish club, what is the motive for it. Even at a club like Hibs who have a decent fan base they will be more likely to lose money than make it. Sometimes clubs can be a play thing for these investors until they get bored and then there are problems. Hopefully due diligence is done to protect the long term interests of the club. A new fresh approach is to be welcomed however.
  16. On the flip side maybe we will be run in a more professional sports team manner rather than like the local bowling club. We have become lazy as a club and a few need a good shake up as we seem to be far too comfy at the moment.
  17. Hearts were in 2nd gear all game and didn’t have to get their shorts dirty. From their point of view it was a professional performance against a defensive side.
  18. We showed little ambition in the game and decided to pack the defence and make it a stuffy game. Hearts had easy possession and didn’t play many hopeful forward balls as I feel they knew that 1 goal would give them the points. We didn’t lay a glove on them but I don’t think we expected anything else as Levein is working with a really poor squad and is trying to extract as many points out of them to keep us safe so we are always likely to be stuffy. We are crying out for a bit of guile and nous up front. Kimpioka is extremely raw but we can’t fault him for effort. Surely May can offer us a bit more in the forward areas? What’s the story with him? Levein doesn’t fancy him but he doesn’t even get off the bench.
  19. Levein obviously doesn’t fancy him but I think he is still easily good enough.
  20. Not pathetic at all, it is the reality and some need to take a reality check. Just because I support the team it doesn’t mean I need to ignore the facts and live in cloud cuckoo land.
  21. He has forgotten more about football than Irons will ever know. Turning noses up at a man of his experience is laughable. We are a tiny team in a backwater league, just what calibre of manager do you expect us to attract? It will either be an ex player with little experience or someone with loads of experience but who’s had a few knocks.
  22. Craig Levein is the man to go for. Get some experience and nous in the door at least for the short term.
