anyone? please?
incidentally 1 is working ok. it starts from the 1-0 win over united in april 96 - we played some ferkin lovely football that day, should have been 5 or 6 nothing, and ends with the 4-3 win over motherwell in late 97, the one where we were 4-0 up. it includes such gems as the 2nd 4-0 at firhill, the 4-1 at brockville and some cracking goals that i completely forgot about.
anyway watching that earlier made me think how lucky we were in those days. included in that video is the 2-2 draw with airdrie at mcdiarmid from early 97 - the one where biscuits late "thunderbolt" saved the day and it was the featured match on sportscene. afterwards in the post match analysis rob maclean is talking to billy mcneil about the size of the crowd - 3500 approx and how that was dissapointing for what was a top of the table clash, albeit saints were well ahead in what proved to be a one horse race. at that time saints hadnt lost in 4 months so a crowd like that is slightly dissapointing.
anyway on closing that 96-97 team played the most fantastic football that mcdiarmid has ever seen, it makes me cry to realise how lucky we were. nostalgia eh?
