  1. Think its to do with fans travelling, trains off etc. Its looking nice in Perth now today if a little windy now and again. Aberdeen could be a lot worse. The lack of cash gates at football is a stupid decision. Peoples plans change all the time at the minute so should be able to make late decision to go and just pay at the gate. Midweek games especially bad, people dont always know if they will be finished work on time or if they are going to test negative for covid and should just be able turn up and pay or go to a match on a whim.
  2. Yeah Dundee game off as well which makes it a bit better. You would expect Rangers to beat Ross County but you never know. As most have said County can score and I can see them getting up the table a bit.
  3. Bit disappointing to be honest. While it gives us extra time with our injuries it will inevitable see us further behind the pack.
  4. Lets hope the ref keeps an eye on Aberdeen players hands. Was it Jenks who practically caught the ball before their goal at McD in December. Worst ref decision to go against us this season. Cant recall a more obvious hand ball.
  5. Yet we set up with wingbacks every game and a massive lack of bodies in midfield. Ball gets launched from defenders to our small strikers who have little chance of bringing the ball down in a controlled manner and getting past opposing defenders surrounding them. We just bypass midfield with this setup and opposition just control midfield. They can do what they like with it, run through the middle or put out to the wing. Its obvious to everyone in the stadium. Opposition has sussed it out this season and worked out how to play against us. We had the quality in the right areas to pull it off last season.
  6. If we have players out on loan and still paying a chunk of wages then probably sensible to recall. Could be more injuries and covid isolation to come this season and as we saw last night with Hendry, if they are capable and eager then why not.
  7. Dont think many folk thought it was a good result. It just wasnt as bad as it could have been. It was comforting to see Dundee were as bad as Saints which means relegation isnt a foregone conclusion.
  8. Fans were great again tonight. Tribute on 14th minute was nicely done with the pink smoke bomb.
  9. Started off okay when the ball was on the ground. It eventually developed into hoofball. Void of ideas. The number of headers was ridiculous and the only one that can header it well is Hendry, the rest of the time it looked like it could go anywhere. Dundee's subs came on and started to change the game but its a good job they are terrible as well. Dundee offered very little in that first half. A few of our players looked nervous with the ball and couldnt wait to get rid. We looked slow in midfield and late to tackles. Nobody to link up the play at all. As the game went on we looked less and less like we would score. Positive was that we didnt get beat. We looked like we had more fight than Dundee. Hendry looked decent. Cleary decent as well, seems to talk and have a bit of leadership in him.
  10. 1 game at a time. Not relegated if we lose tonight, not automatically relegated if we end up 2nd bottom at the end of the season. Need to get as many points as we can before the end of the season and the rest will take care of itself.
  11. Fake Saints beat Aberdeen tonight, gap starting to open up between bottom 2 and the rest.
  12. Stupid rule, if your defenders arent getting booked then they are not doing their job As long as they are not getting sent off. Would have liked to have seen a big home crowd and give the team some backing despite the results. Guess it doesnt really work like that
  13. Dont suppose it will do any harm having another striker especially with the number of games to be played and covid isolations. Eetu looks like he's not going to get a game. Hendry probably wasnt going to get game time at Killie but has actually scored this season so happy he is returning.
  14. Players make mistakes, thats what happens. Usually how most goals are scored. Problem is if you are not scoring at the other end then those mistakes ultimately have bigger consequences. Just like refereeing mistakes, if we are scoring goals then you can absorb those as part of the game.
  15. Said on the radio yesterday morning that Hendry recall might be on the cards. He wasnt in Killie side on Saturday. He helped Aberdeen out when they were on goal drought last season.
  16. Me too. Every game for the rest of the season will be huge unless it becomes mathematically impossible to stay up. A bit of excitement. Dont want to be winning cups every season anyway. Got to have the bad times to savour those good times.
  17. Agree with Hendry playing well for us then. There was talk on the radio of Hendry maybe being recalled as he was left out of Killie side yesterday. Not sure if that will happen to be honest.
  18. The slow ponderous build up to attempts on goal has been for several seasons now. Last time we played a more attacking way was when we had Drey Wright/ Matty Kennedy but even then we didnt really have the finishing threat.
  19. I think Ciftci was on a yellow and should never have been booked so CD not risking us going down to 10.
  20. Disagree. Its a sad day to see a message like that and I wouldnt do that, but its really tame, its paper taped on. Just someone trying to make a point. Not abusive or anything. Things have been a shambles of late. If it had been painted directly on the doors/windows then agree out of order. If criminal damage occurred then it would have been out of order. Was there property damaged etc, I cant really see the foreground of the picture clearly? Someone is going to tell me that taping paper is crime or something but you get my point. In terms of abusing our own players, it happens every game, at the matches and online when we dont get a decent result but just to a lesser extent than yesterday, never thought that it was ever appropriate, not how I would want to support my team. Its not going to be easy but still believe we can get out of this. If that means 2nd bottom and win the playoff, its a chance. Doesnt look good at the moment but as long as they dont throw it away easily, need to support the club through the good and bad times. If we go down, we need to go down fighting. It all seems so inevitable, we've been punching above our weight for years so it was always going to come to this one day, we're just not used to it. Things should have been done differently in the Summer on the back of last season and maybe we wouldnt have found ourselves in this position but we cant undo... Bring on Wednesday.
  21. Agree Cove were excellent. Started to get a bit tired and switched off under the pressure. Thought they deserved penalties. No easy task on Saturday for Saints but still need to give it everything. Its not as important as the league but got to defend it as the holders. Not a bad job in the league cup, knocked out by a goal that should never had stood.
  22. I know this has been mentioned before but if Arbroath get promoted, will their ground be suitable for Premiership. Will they have to ground share with someone. Would there be a scenario where they win the league but cant be promoted or win the playoff and get promoted. Could there be 2 play offs.
  23. Never really thought he was a wingback tbh. Decent winger. Time to stop playing wingbacks.
  24. If it is covid then its possibly a privacy issue. Even with injuries there is a bit of that these days. Ive never understood giving too much info on this, gives your opposition an idea early on what team you will put out. Maybe keeping Kelty guessing as well.
  25. Cant be too surprised at getting beat from Hearts who have a decent team, third in the league and desire to compete with the OF. Whats disappointing is we probably matched them 1st half and as soon as we lost a poor goal so early in the 2nd half we were done. Quite annoyed with how we lost the ball and were all out of position for the 1st. The punt over to the right leaving the left so exposed was just awful, we never looked like winning that on the right. The pass to Ginelly must have been inch perfect, would have liked to see a line across the screen on Sportscene to show he wasnt offside, it looked tight but we were never winning that race.
