  1. Callum McConnell, Jamie Fyfe, Jack Syme all Perth boys playing for Forfar and Scott Mollison who is siging full time with DFC, young lad Scott Shepherd already played for Falkirk 1st team.
  2. Top European team v 3rd divison = a major doing, like a top side will want friendlies against a Scottish 3rd div team. Where do they drag these rockets up from!!!!
  3. Taken from Raith's site, Raith Rovers FC continues to closely monitor developments in the saga of who will replace the liquidated Rangers within Scottish football. As proud members of the Scottish Football League, we may soon be called upon to consider proposals for the way forward not only in relation to any vacancy that may arise in our league but also in respect of the future construction of the game in Scotland. Whilst we retain an open mind on the subject of league reconstruction, and will carefully consider any proposal put to us by the SFL board in this regard, the board of directors of Raith Rovers FC is unanimous in its view that we shall certainly not cast our vote in favour of any integrated plan that in our view compromises sporting integrity by involving the admission of any ‘Newco’ directly into Division One.
  4. SFL clubs are going with a reserve league next season and no U19s etc, also it will be a joint 16s/17s next season for the old YI clubs. I say old YI because of the new criteria system being brought in is based on a points system, the more points you get the more stars you get from a 1* club to a 6* club and the grant will depend on your star rating, so no more performance or initiative etc. Points are awarded on facilities, coaches etc. I have also heard that you will get more points for your coaches if the are ex pros too
  5. 1st problem that needs sorted, SFA,SFL,SPL,SJFA,SYFA all trying to control scottish football .......why? The new criteria that is being talked about for clubs to qualify for a youth grant will work on a points system where by the more points you get the more stars you get from a 1* club to a 5* club, one of the things you get more points for is that if you have ex senior plyers as coaches you get more points So an ex player can be a crap coach but get a job because he will get his club more points and more cash:roll: I know a coach who was doing his badges going through a drill and was stopped and asked if it was in the SFA hand book, the coach says well the content of the drill is in the hand book but how i deliver it is not! The SFA examiner " if it's not in the hand book you will fail" .........WHY? This examiner could not see the content was the same because he had only been taught one way and was not open to a new idea:roll: The SFA way or no way:shock: If our system was a good as the Largs mafia will have you believe why did Paul Lambert sit his licence in Germany:?: We need to get away from the old school jobs for the boys and get people in who can freshen things up:wink:
  6. I hear there may be an U20s league next season with no U19s and a possible U18s. If there is no U18s then the jump from 17s to 20s is too big imo. Anyone heard or know anything about this?
  7. If Rangers did go bust then Celtic would try and push for entry into the EPL and i reckon they might just get in because they won't have to take along the boil on their bum ,but i doubt it will ever happen:wink:
  8. I know of 3 that have been kept on for the 19s poss 4, the rest released, not sure about the younger lad in the squad?
  9. Morals or not the bnp are a political party whether we like them or not with seats in councils and in europe and if the hotel refused them on moral grounds they would then have no doubt been sued on discrimination grounds.
  10. I hope you are not serious. Lennon was a great player for Celtic but he should never have been given the job as manager, cheap option from the board, the man has no class and his conduct whether you see it as passion or not is not what you would expect from someone at the helm of a big club, have a look back at some previous managers who have all had passion but have not acted like Lennon, i give you TB i would argue that no one more than him had celtic in his blood but i can't think of any times he was booting stuff about or questioning refs etc, perhaps behind closed doors but not in public. Win the league or not Lennon should be removed and replaced with someone befitting of such a job.
  11. 16s lost 0-3 away to East Fife 01/05/11
  12. Anyone know what ages saints are running next season?
